You offer three hitches for a 2018 Lincoln MKX. The Curt hitch requires removal of the exhaust heat shield and not re-installed. Can you verify if the other two hitches also require the removal of this heat shield or it can be reinstalled?

Yes, the heat shield will need to be removed on a 2018 Lincoln MKX for the installation of a trailer hitch. It's the same for the etrailer part # e36RR, Curt part # C78KR, and Draw-Tite part # 75234. I recommend the etrailer hitch due to the matte finish which blends in better with the underbody paneling on the vehicle. It also features a bolt-on install and hidden design. The removal of the heat shield won't have an affect on the vehicle.
