Features to know about

Handle More Than You’d Expect: Class III Strength with 2" Receiver

This hitch is built for real-world jobs—towing small campers, utility trailers, or mounting a bike rack for weekend rides. With a 4,500-lb maximum gross trailer weight and 675-lb tongue weight rating, it’s strong enough to handle light to moderate towing. The 2" receiver works with most ball mounts and accessories, so you can hook up a trailer or haul extra gear without needing adapters.

Keep It Looking Clean: Concealed Cross Tube and Gloss Black Finish

No one wants a bulky hitch hanging down below the bumper. The concealed main body keeps the cross tube tucked out of sight, leaving only the receiver visible for a factory-style look. The gloss black powder coat finish sits over a rust-resistant liquid Bonderite coating that helps it stand up to weather and road grime while keeping its shine mile after mile.

Install It Yourself Without Hassle: Bolt-On Design with No Welding

You don’t need special tools or a lift to get this one on. The fully welded hitch bolts straight to the frame using existing holes—no drilling or welding required—and comes with a complete hardware kit and printed instructions in the box. Most folks handle the job in their driveway with basic hand tools. Once installed, the open-back receiver makes cleaning out dirt or debris simple.

Count on Long-Term Durability: Precision Welded Steel Construction

The square-tube design is precision welded for strength and tested in accordance with SAE J684 safety standards. That means you get solid performance every time you tow. Between the tough steel build and protective finish, this hitch is ready for years of secure towing and gear hauling.

The service, the shipping and the product exceeded my expectations. Sales representative Nicole was excellent.

by:

As usual, etrailer knows how to deliver the right product to us.

by:

Hitch looks good but the photos in the instructions were terrible.

by:

Everything’s great I just wish they would’ve shipped it a little quicker when they received the order installation was very good little bit more difficult because of the vehicle but I won

by:

Bolted up nice and somewhat easy! Another great buy from etrailer! Thank you

by:

Not too difficult to install. I didn't even have to jack up my Edge to do the work.

by:

Works great. Got it mainly for hauling bikes on a rack. No problems at alk

by:

The customer service was great and delivery was on time.

by:

Great design & construction & not too hard to install. I love how the look is not too bulky looking like most hitch receivers look so all you see is the receiver it self five stars

by:

I have never experienced any customer service quite like this. Super fast delivery and great online communication and tracking. I have already recommended etrailer to others.

by:

perfect fit, easy install, di not have to remove heat shield for muffler. removed plastic fascia and instructions say to discard the fascia, but you can figure out how to modify(cut) and reinstall to support the plastic bumper.
Overall, looks and works perfect!

by:

Love it. This is like my 4th trailer hitch that I purchased from you. Quick delivery. Excellent service!!!

by:

This is the second hitch I.ve ordered from etrailer. I.ve had no issues with either of them.
One suggestion......while there was no damage to the hitch, the box is arrived in was pretty banged up.

by:

The installation instructions were very easy to follow. The installation was seamless. I am very pleased with the outcome. I would buy this again.

by:

Easy to install and everything went together as per the instructions.

Still performing well

by:

Easy professional install. Looks like it is part of the original car from the factory rather than after market add on. No need to make any cuts to the car for the install. Great customer service and extremely fast order processing.

by:

Returning customer, so not real surprised at the quality of the Curt Class 3 Trailer Hitch that I was unpacking. All hardware for installation was present in the package (we’ve all been there) with adequate instructions; however I [watched video] it…well my wife and I installed it in the garage problem free. So there you have it. Would recommend!!

by:

The trailer hitch went on perfectly. All of the instructions were right on.

Great, using it today.

by:

Excellent product, I waited a few weeks to review so I could get my initial impressions. I have an Edge Sport and like others have mentioned it has a different rear bumper than the other trim levels of the edge. The only reason I cannot give this product 5 stars is once the heat shield is removed your rear bumper does seem loose. I wish there was a product that could work with the hitch and bumper to provide more support to the rear bumper. If you have any other trim level edge this shouldn't be an issue though. I chose this particular hitch over the other options due to it being mainly hidden under the bumper, to me this is a much better look than having a bar beneath your bumper. I did take the hitch and the wiring harness to a local hitch installer to have it professionally installed so I cannot speak to the skills or time needed other than it took the shop a total of two hours to complete the wiring and hitch install.

by:

Excellent instructions!

by:

This hitch seemed like a very heavy duty well made unit. It fit very well. My only minor suggestion would be to make the rectangular washers a little skinnier. They were a little difficult to get through the slot. I was impressed with the pull wires which made the fasteners very easy to get in place. I plan on mostly using this hitch for a bike rack and have no doubt it will be a great match.

Looks like you nailed it with the install! Thanks for sharing the photos :) What will you be towing now that you're all set?

by:

Hitch was shipped in a timely manner and well packaged. All the necessary hardware was included. The trailer video on Youtube was spot on and covered every detail (GREAT JOB). I will be using etrailer in the future for my RV needs. It sure is nice dealing with a company that is run properly and professionally. Thanks to the etrailer TEAM !!!

Great trailer hitches and great prices, and they ship really fast. Their trailer hitch kits are great. Fairly easy to install with videos to help you understand how to install them. You can't go wrong when buying from this company. I've been using their trailer hitches for years and never had a problem! First class, all the way.

  • Difference Between Curt 13452 and C78KR
Hi Steven; the Curt # C78KR is the 13452 so it is acceptable for your 2023 Lincoln Nautilus. The only difference is that one is our part number and the other is the Curt part number which is actually listed further down on the page. If you would like to save a little money and have a matte black finish instead the # e36RR will also work. This is the same design as the Curt so the only difference is the finish. If you plan on towing you will also need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring...

  • Availability Of Trailer Hitch For 2024 Lincoln Nautilus
Hello Wade, thanks for reaching out. I am sorry to say that we currently do not offer a trailer hitch for the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus. The hitch for the 2023 model does not carry over to the 2024 model, and none of our manufacturers (Curt, Draw-Tite, EcoHitch, Stealth Hitch, Blue Ox) have made a hitch for the 2024 model yet. We do hope to have a hitch available eventually, but I do not have a firm ETA for you at this time. Please check back with us in the coming months as we are always adding...

  • Recommended Hitch for a 2024 Ford Edge
Yes, we do! To add a hitch to your 2024 Ford Edge, I recommend the etrailer item # e36RR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Ford with included hardware. This hitch fits all models of the 2024 Edge including the Titanium, SEL, and SE. I really like this hitch because the crosstube mounts behind your rear bumper cover leaving only the 2" receiver exposed. This not only helps with ground clearance but it looks better. On top of that the flat matte finish will blend in better beneath...

  • What is the Best Hitch for a 2023 Ford Edge?
The best hitch for a 2023 Ford Edge is going to be the etrailer item # e36RR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Ford Edge with included hardware. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. I really like this hitch because the crosstube installs completely behind the rear bumper cover. This leaves only the 2" receiver visible so you won't have to worry about it hanging down or seeing much of it. Uhaul trailer's require 4-way connectors. There are two options for your vehicle...

This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 4,000 lbs towing capacity, and a 600 lbs maximum tongue weight. • Do the Curt or Etrailer Hitches Interfere w/the Hands Free Tailgate Sensors on a 2023 Nautilus?
No, they do not Frank! Neither the Curt item # C78KR or our etrailer Hitch item # e36RR will stop you from using your hands free tailgate feature on your 2023 Lincoln Nautilus. You'll lose the range right in the center below your bumper but you won't want to kick there anyways after you install a hitch. You'll need to kick to the left or right. For your 2023 Lincoln Nautilus, I recommend our etrailer Hitch item # e36RR. This custom fit hitch has a 2" receiver and includes all the hardware...

Yes, we do have a hitch for your 2022 Ford Edge Titanium. It is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # C78KR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts directly to your Ford's frame with included hardware. For your wiring harness I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # C73FR. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your Edge's wiring harness behind the rear tail lights. To round out your towing setup I recommend the Curt Towing Starter...

  • Do I Have to Remove the Bumper Cover When Installing a Hitch on a 2023 Ford Edge?
No, it does not. The Curt Hitch item # C78KR does not require you to remove your rear bumper cover when installing it on a 2023 Ford Edge. It bolts to the bottom of the frame and the crosstube is concealed behind the bumper cover. I have an alternate suggestion for a hitch. Instead of the Curt item # C78KR, I recommend the etrailer Hitch item # e36RR. These hitches are identical with the exception of cost and the paint finish. The item # e36RR is our house brand hitch but it is made by...

The most concealed hitch for your 2023 Ford Edge is going to be the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch item # 75234. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Ford with included hardware. I really like the Draw-Tite hitch because it installs just below your rear bumper cover, leaving only the receiver and safety hooks visible. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 4,500 lbs towing capacity, and a 675 lbs maximum tongue weight. I have linked a couple of pictures below along with...

With our Etrailer # e36RR, Curt # C78KR and Draw-Tite # 75234 receivers which fit your 2018 Lincoln MKX Reserve they all have a similar build. When we installed the Curt on a 2017 MKX it had a ground clearance at the chain hooks of 8" from the ground. • Difference Between Curt Hitches C78KR and 13234 that Fit 2018 Ford Edge
The difference you mentioned is the key difference between the hitches you referenced for your 2018 Ford Edge. The # C13234 is a much more visible option than the # C78KR which only has the hitch opening visible below the rear bumper. There are a few differences between the Curt Hitch # C78KR and the Draw-Tite Hitch # 75214 for your 2021 Ford Edge. First off, the Curt offers a 675 pound maximum tongue weight/4,500 maximum gross towing weight while the Draw-Tite has a 600 pound maximum tongue weight/4,000 pound gross towing weight. In order to confirm whether your vehicle can accommodate that much weight, I recommend that you confirm the maximum weight capacities with your owner's manual. As for other differences, the...

  • Comparison Between Curt C78KR and Draw-Tite 75234 Class III Hitches for 2020 Ford Edge
The price differential between the Draw-Tite # 75234 and the Curt # C78KR is basically a function of supply and demand and the current market price. The Curt hitch is a US made product, and has a higher demand right now which would explain why they're hard to keep in stock. As far as appearance, capacity, installation difficulty and quality goes, I'd place both hitches on the same level. Both hitches are well-constructed by companies that have a great reputation in the towing industry....
