The Curt Trailer Hitch Strap is what the doctor ordered for my 2012 Nissan Juke. After some trial and error I got it around the bike carrier and clipped in my hatchback. It performs as advertised. Bikes are much more stable.
The hitch and the bike rack were very good. Easy to install on my Forrester, but the 45 minute time frame talked about in the video was way off for the hitch. It took just under 2 hours which is still OK.
Very pleased with the products.
I just installed the piece. It was not an easy job to do by myself at home, but it was not impossible either. With a little wrangling - some supports and shims I was able to put it together nicely.
Next project the wire harness. Wish me luck please.

The design and material are fine. The only issue I have is the hook is too shallow and it does not securely connect to the cross bar of the roof rack. The cross bar is quite thick. I believe the hook is designed to connect to the thin metal of a car trunk cover.
Thanks to etrailer.com for carrying accessories for hitches. The Curt trailer hitch support strap will transfer the torque load from the hitch receiver to the car's body and avoid possible hitch failure. The strap is well made with a well protected hook to avoid scratching the paint on the car. The attachment is simple and effective.
The Curt 18050 bicycle stabilizing strap attaches to our Subaru Forester and Thule bike rack really well. The Curt hitch requires this when using a bike rack.
Should have bought this sooner. It keeps the hitch receiver bike rack from bouncing so much. This is important in my case because the hitch is bumper mounted and was starting to sag. It solved this problem. It does not have to support the weight just snug to stop the bounce.
Strap is used on my 2012 Escape to support my hitch mounted bike rack. Only issue I have is that the hook that goes on the vehicle is a little hard to actually get over the edge of the liftgate. Works fine and definately does the job.

Bought the recommended support strap and liked the way it took the up-down bounce stress off the hitch, but the carrier still wobbled left to right, rotating slightly within the hitch receiver. Bought a second strap and the two stabilized the load very nicely. I needed a light cord between the two straps at the top of the hatch door to encourage them not to slide off the corners of the door.
Outstanding product. The stitching and material are heavy duty. Looks great on my Honda Accord and Thule bike rack. Thanks!

Great stabilizing straps! Have used them for 8 years, and recently lost the pair I used to secure and steady bikes. These are a must-have on long drives if your hitch mounted rack has any play in it. They are excellent if you have a hatchback or trunk lid you can hook to. Highly recommend!

The Curt Cam buckle stabilizing. Strap works great. I was a bit skeptical at first but it really helps a lot of the wobble that occur without it. Definitely recommend.
Install was very easy, instructions were clear.
Be sure to use WD-40 to loosen up the muffler attachments. That one step alone made this job easier than I expected.
This hitch is used to attach a goal post, so I can carry my kayaks on top.

I am quite pleased with our flat carrier. We keep the loads low enough & centered enough to not block the brake lights and the license plate. Weve used it to carry bikes as well.
