Question:

Hi. We have a 2020 Revel. The Maxxfan wont open on its own and the manual open knob is extremely tight to turn. Do we need a new operator? Please advise Thanks in advance.

If the lid won't open then that usually means either the motor or operator mechanism is bad. That said, if the manual knob is difficult to turn then that points to a bad operator mechanism instead of a motor and in which case you'd need the Replacement Operator Mechanism for MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus or MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vents part # MA10-20281K-1AF. If you wanted to test the motor just as an extra precaution, you'd apply power directly to the motor as if it did not function you'd know it's bad and would need to be replaced with the Replacement Lift Motor for Maxx Fan Plus Roof Vent part # MA10-20270.
