Today we'll be taking a look at the replacement operator mechanism for the Maxxair MaxxFan Plus or MaxxFan Deluxe roof vents. This is going to be a direct replacement from Maxxair for that crucial component to actually open up your vent or fan. You can see when I turn this small portion that little hex portion turns. So that's what's going to open or close our vent and provide us with good circulation inside our RV or camper. This is a fit for the Maxxair MaxxFan Plus part number MA00-04500K or the Maxxair Deluxe MA00-070003 or MA00-0700K. That's for the powered lift roof vent.It doesn't come with any other hardware.

It just comes with the mechanism and then this small bushing to go over that portion there. It will reuse the same hardware to attach this in place. It'll get you back to working with your vent. Exact part. Easy parts look up and checkout. Communication from e-trailer on order and shipping status, part arrived early.
Easy to follow direction booklet included. 10 minute installation and 10 minutes of cleaning Maxxair blades, rain sensor, vent cover, shroud and Maxxair hood. In addition I used a seal cleaner and conditioner to renew vent cover seal. Vent cover was sticking before which may have led to part failure.
Vent works just like new!

Pictures show broken part and new part.

Thank you to all staff at etrailer for your efficiency in getting parts to customers.

I use the max air 6 months of the year at least 3 times per day depending on weather maybe more. Replacement part has functioned properly. I inspected part after 6 months of use, no cracks or visible wear and no out of the ordinary sound when operated.

by:

The part is correct, the order entry and shipping flawless. All in all the Customer Service at eTrailer is superior to any other company I've dealt with. It is such a pleasure to buy from eTrailer.

Still flawless and fully functional.

by:

My MaxFan is an older model of the 7500 fax, camper 2011 forest river Blueridge. The operator was slightly different from the original that was broken, the original did not use the vertical mounting screws to hold it down. It used the horizontal screw holes to mount to an L shaped bracket that screwed to the fan housing. I had to add some small washers and elongate the screw holes on the L shaped bracket to make it work, but besides that the part works great and my lid will now open and close. Not an exact fit but it now works!!

by:

After buying my rv, the old maxxair operating gear blew up. The “new” replacement I purchased from trailer is still working great and came with specific instructions for the installation.

by:

Perfect replacement for the original that basically blew up after 6 years and the vent could not open/close except by manual effort. All work done on the roof with manual open/close from inside. Worked perfectly 1st time, and 1 year later. A lot cheaper and easier than replacing the entire unit.

by:

This part was a perfect replacement for the factory one that "exploded". Simple, clear instructions were included and the hardest part was climbing the ladder to the camper roof. Shipping was great with the tracking options, and it actually arrived two days early.

by:

Perfect fit, easy to install. The installation instructions need a little extra. Once you have followed the install part you need to go inside and use the manual opener to give you more room to connect the lid.

by:

Product was shipped then delivered without issue and on time.

Removal of the defective actuator was very simple as was the installation of the replacement. The instructions provided are accurate and detailed but better photos could be provided. My original actuator had exploded so I couldn’t use it for reference when installing the new one. Removal and installation took about 30-45 minutes including cleaning the fan area and the vent lid.

My issue was synchronizing the actuator with the opening/closing of the vent lid. First of all, note the position of the lift rod arms. Upon installaon you’ll want to position the rod so the arms are at the same height as when it was removed. If your existing actuator still functions, when it’s removed rotate the motor/knob connecting rod one way or the other and note when it comes to a stop. Rotate the new actuator to match the position of the old component when it was removed. As my old actuator was in pieces, I had to make repeated attempts to get properly position the opening and closing of the vent lid. This took another 30 minutes or so.

In the end, the new component functions perfectly and the lid raises and lowers to its proper positions.

by:

Seems better built than the original. Time will tell how it holds up. There is quite alot of pressure on the mechanism. easily replaced the original.

by:

Great service/delivery. The part works, however the range of movement of the fan lid is limited. The instructions could have been better. But overall satisfied and will use them again if needed.

by:

Arrived quickly and was correct and functional. We're old and had to have an RV maintenance business do the install and it was flawless. It's worked perfectly ever since and to me it looked to be an improved version of the original.

A year into service, the fan has worked flawlessly. I have to believe the replacement part was more robust that the original that came with the fan.

by:

the OEM part is weak the point of being defective. the replacement installs easily, fits perfectly, and is WAY better than the original part.
if I had known all this before, I would have replaced these immediately to avoid the OEM failures.

by:

Shipped quickly and got my MaxxAir Fan working properly again. Install was pretty easy, Just need a phillips screwdriver and some patience. Took me a few tries to get the range of motion properly set. Hopefully the replacement lasts longer than the original lasted (18 months).

Very happy with the repair mechanism for our MAXXFan, no problems to this point.

by:

seems to work just fine. I figured out how to install it myself. Good instructions.
My maxxair fan does something weird however, which may be unrelated: it is humming along nicely moving air up and out, and all of a sudden it starts beeping and will shut down. no observable change in temperature, no rain or moisture… won't stop beeping until I turn off the whole house battery situation and back on again. So I don't use the fan much!

by:

Super easy to change out, easy to repair than change complete roof vent.

by:

Got the replacement (2nd shpmnt) with instruction pamphlet and all parts as originally expected. 1st shpmnt came missing part and no instructions. In fact, 1st shpmnt was not enclosed in MaxxAir packaging. Made me wonder.....? When I questioned the missing part in the 1st shpmnt, I got the same reply from two different people at eTrailer. Must have been looking at the same computer screen. Some times one wonders????????????

The correct Replacement Operator Mechanism for your model 4751KS MaxxAir MaxxFan is part # MA10-20281K-1AF. If your fan lid is unable to open even manually, then this is the part you need to replace. The other part you referenced, # MA10A04751KS would replace the printed circuit board on your MaxxFan instead. For your 4900K model you will want the Replacement Operator Mechanism for MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus or MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vents # MA10-20281K-1AF. If you can't even manually lift the lid, this mechanism is definitely the issue.

Hey Patricia, it shouldn't be that difficult to open the lid so I would look for something that's possibly interfering or a damaged component. • What Causes MaxxAir Maxx Fan Lid Not to Open or Close
The two most likely causes of a MaxxAir vent fan lid not opening or closing are either going to be a lift motor or operator failure. If not, you know the motor is bad and needs to be replaced for which we have the Replacement Lift Motor for Maxx Fan Plus Roof Vent part # MA10-20270.
