I'd be happy to help out!
In order to flat tow your 2008 Chevy TrailBlazer (it needs to be a 4WD) you need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. Since you already have the 6K version of the Roadmaster Sterling All Terrain Tow Bar # RM-576 here are the parts I recommend:
- Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1709
- Roadmaster Tow Bar to Blue Ox Brackets Adapter # RM-031
- Roadmaster Accessory Kit # RM-9243-1 (comes with safety cables, wiring, locks, and a cover)
- Brake Buddy Select 3 Braking System # HM39524
- High-Low Adapter - See Attached Article (bracket height is 15-1/2" from the ground - Extensions # RM-910648-10 are needed if adapter is used)
I really like the Roadmaster to Blue Ox setup here because the Blue Ox base plate has removable tabs and the adapters make it so your tow bar matches right up to the base plates. The accessory kit then gives you the cables and wiring (if you don't already have those) plus locks for the tow bar and a cover to help extend the life of the tow bar.
The Brake Buddy Select 3 is a portable braking system so you'll set it up each time, and then the high-low adapter may or may not be needed depending on the hitch receiver height of your motorhome.
I'm attaching some videos and helpful articles for you to check out as well.
