Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Roadmaster tow bar to Blue Ox base plates adapters. Now this part will adapt your Roadmaster's Blackhawk, Falcon, or Sterling tow bars to Blue Ox base plate brackets. They will work on the Sterling tow bars with serial numbers up to 14,500. Now if the serial number on your Sterling tow bar is higher, then you need to use the part number RM-031-5, which we do sell separately on our website.Now this part will include these two pieces, one for each arm of the tow bar. Basically what happens is right here, this bolt will go through the arm of the tow bar, and then this bracket here with the pin and clip, you would slide out your clip and your pin. And then this bracket will attach to the Blue Ox base plate brackets, and once they slide in there, you just slide your pin through.
And then put your clip on there like that, and it will hold it in to place.It does include the two swivel ears, the two base pins and clips, the two Allen head shoulder bolts, four plastic washers, two metal washers, and then two lock nuts. And it does have a nice detailed set of instructions on how to install it. And these parts are made in the USA. But that should do it for the review on the Roadmaster tow bar to Blue Ox base plates adapter.

I am very happy with the adapter i ordered to marry my roadmaster tow bar with a blue ox car mount. The service was great they even up graded shipping at no extra cost.
Exactly as described. I chose this adapter bracket from Roadmaster over the adapter bracket from Blue Ox (although it looks like beefier metal) because it is a solid piece of metal instead of the Blue Ox that is welded (and more expensive). Probably both are fine. Also I figured it would fit the Falcon Roadmaster tow bar exactly, and with accurate instructions, since it is made by Roadmaster. (Again, the Blue Ox one would probably be fine too.) So I have used the instructions and assembled the adapter brackets and it appears to be fine. I will now need to get a torque wrench.

The road master bar adapter was so easy to install when we first received them and has work fantastic over the past year towing our car behind our RV around the country.

I ordered these on line from etrailer.com because I had purchased a used vehicle that came with a Blue Ox system already attached but I have been using a Falcon 2 bar for years. They made a very inexpensive option for my scenario. It would have cost hundreds of dollars to put a Roadmaster system on the car. My only complaint is that the clevis pins pop out very easily. For safety, I will secure them with zip-ties before each trip (cheap insurance).

One year later, the system is working out well. I havent had any problems with the pins.

Fit and works great
We've had a Roadmaster Falcon 2 towbar for several years and now have a Cadillac SRX with a Blue Ox baseplate. Purchased these to adapt the car to the towbar and they work perfect. They arrived quickly and were easy to install. Well-made product and highly recommended. Leave it to etrailer to always have the solution.

Great! We were so happy that we were able to use Blue Ox attachments with our Roadmaster equipment.
Great quality, everything fit as it should, and the people I dealt with on the phone very friendly and knowledgeable.
The tabs for Blue Ox base plate fit perfect. The adapter fit to the tabs very nicely, but the swivel ear, where it attaches to the tow bar was too wide, 1 1/2" and the shaft on my towbar needs only 7/8". The directions say a round nut should screw on the shaft and fill the space, but there isn't any threads on the towbar shaft. I talked to a very nice lady, at Etrailers help number, about the problem, and she said, that Roadmaster says it's ok, and so does DOT, to snugly fill in the gap with grade 8 washers.

Work perfectly. I like that they are manufactured as one piece rather than pieces welded together as another supplier has done.
