Question:
Hi, I am planning on purchasing a 2022 GMC Canyon Elevation 4wd. How will i know if it is flat/dinghy towable? The manual states it has to have a neutral transfer case however when I look at the trucks that are 4wd I do not see the N for neutral on the switch. Thanks in advance

The owner's manual is what we defer to when it comes to flat towing vehicles. It looks like your 2022 GMC Canyon Elevation does states that the 4WD vehicle needs to have the N (Neutral) and 4WD Low settings to flat tow it. From what I'm seeing it does look like this is always present on the Elevation model so you'll need to contact whoever you're purchasing the truck from to ensure it has these settings.
For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. Here are the parts I recommend for your 2022 Canyon Elevation:
Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - # RM37VR
Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar - # RM-676
All Terrain Towing Combo Kit - # RM-9284-2
Roadmaster Battery Disconnect - # RM-766 (optional)
Brake System - # DM86VR (motorhome hydraulic brakes) OR # DM26VR (motorhome air brakes)
High-Low Adapter - See linked article (bar-height is 14-3/4" above ground)
The Direct-Connect base plate kit and Nighthawk All Terrain tow bar gives you the best and easiest setup that we have, plus it comes with safety cables and some integrated wiring for a clean look. The towing kit comes with the rest of the wiring as well as some locks and a cover for the tow bar to help prolong the lifespan.
The battery disconnect isn't necessary but if you plan on towing the truck frequently it makes disconnecting the battery as easy as a flip of the switch, the brake systems install one time and are simple to connect when you need to tow, and then you may or may not need a high-low adapter bar depending on the height of your motorhome receiver which is why I've linked the article for you.
I'm also attaching some installation videos for you to check out!
