Braking and Electrical Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2021 Chevrolet Colorado Gas or Diesel

I have a 2021 Chevrolet Colorado 4X4 that I want to flat tow behind a 2017 Thor Chateau E450 Super Duty using a Demco towbar setup. What is the recommended braking system for this setup? Thr RV has hydraulic brakes.

Hey, Glen!
The best brake system for your 2021 Chevrolet Colorado is going to be the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Braking System part # DM86VR. Once installed it will make flat towing easy especially with the wireless monitor you will have with you in the front of the RV.
I did go ahead and check into all the other electrical parts you will need to flat tow. If you have a gas model you will need the Roadmaster Battery Ace battery disconnect part # RM39ZT. However, if you have a diesel model you will need to get a different battery disconnect, you will need part # RM93MR. You will also need one for each battery so if you have 2 batteries, you will need to get two of part # RM93MR. Lastly, you will want to get diode kit part # RM-15267 for all the taillight functions.

We have been installing some items to prepare. We installed a battery disconnect switch and a CURT wiring harness with diodes. We have a Demco towbar and ordered the base plates yesterday from eTrailer. I'll go ahead and order the Demco system soon. Thanks for the quick reply.
