Parts Needed For Flat Towing a 2023 Ford F-150 With Blue Ox Tow Bars and Patriot Braking System

I currently have a ford 2018 f-250 that I pull behind my class A RV. It is the Blue Ox system with the patriot braking system you put on the inside of the f-250. What do i need for a 2023 F-150 and can I use all the parts of the system I current have except the base plate?

Yes, you will be able to use your Blue Ox Tow Bar # BX7420 and Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System # BLU37TR on your 2023 Ford F-150. But you will need a 12 Volt Outlet Kit # RM-9332 to power the Patriot braking system as the factory 12 volt will not have power when being flat towed.
You will need the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BLU33FR for your F-150 along with the necessary wiring components. A Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 is needed as the battery will be drained by your F-150 and the braking system while being flat towed. And if you plan on using the tail lights on your F-150 you will need either the Diode Wiring Kit # RO44FR for LED tail lights or the Kit # RO94FR for incandescent tail lights. To connect the wiring between your motorhome and F-150 we have the Connector # PK12720 if you already have a 7-way to 6-way cable otherwise you will need the 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Kit # RM-146-7 to connect the tail lights and charge line to your motorhome.

Bud M. Any updates to the parts list since you wrote this? Anything different for a 2023 F150 PowerBoost (Hybrid). Note: I have the Blue OX flat tow bar and portable brake system. I'm worried about draining the Ford battery. Is there a wiring system that plugs into a Ford OEM circuit plug specifically designed/manufacture for flat towing by ford versus tying into wires? Thanks
