Question:

Timbren Suspension Enhancement System - Severe Service - Rear Axle Part Number: TI88ZV FRSDE Timbren SES with Aeon Hollow Rubber Springs - Rear Axle Item TFRSDE Severe Service is 8000 lb capacity Standard Service appears to be 12000 lb capacity Why? I have a 14500 lb Capacity E450 , witch should I use??? same price....

Hey Mark! You actually don't want either of those since they are designed for F-series motorhomes or cab and chassis. To answer the question about the difference, it is in the design of the spring. The severe service kit is designed for applications with permanent loads like an in-bed camper or salt spreader.

I don't think you have clarified in the past, but I'm assuming this is for a motorhome built on an E-450 chassis. If that is correct, the Timbren SES # TFERSD is the kit you need. If you have the cube van, you need # TFERSDLB instead.

Have you had a chance to get the Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer installed yet?

Hey Mark, I have the same as you, E-450 32’ and 14,500. I use the Timbren in place of the bump stops frt and rear, for the frt to keep from bouncing and side to side movement. For the rear, I use to keep from bottoming out and ripping the leveling jacks off and double bumps out west and they help relieve some of the weight off the rear springs. They aren’t a fix for the overloaded rear springs but they are certainly worth the time and money in my opinion. I am fixing to add a set of the airbags to help with the comfort of the ride. Hopefully that will give us the comfort we are looking for on long trips. I hope that helps
