If you want your front end to stay clean when you’re not towing, this setup keeps it looking that way. The hidden design tucks the hardware out of sight, and the removable arms come off with a simple twist so there’s nothing sticking out past the bumper. Plug in the included receiver covers when the arms are off to keep dirt and debris out of the base plate and maintain a finished look.
Connecting your tow bar doesn’t have to be a wrestling match. Each arm slides into the base plate receiver, twists to lock, and secures with a pull pin. When it’s time to disconnect, pull the pin, rotate, and slide out. It’s a straightforward process that makes solo hookups quick and easy. The distance between brackets is 34" with a bracket height of 16-1/2", giving you solid reference points for leveling your setup.
This base plate bolts directly to the chassis—no welding required—and uses sturdy lugs that spread towing forces evenly across the frame. The heavy-duty steel construction is powder coated for rust and corrosion resistance so it stays strong through years of road use. It’s built to handle long hauls without stressing your suspension or hardware.
If you already own a tow bar you like, this kit works right into most setups. It pairs directly with Blue Ox tow bars for a secure connection and can also be used with Roadmaster (RM-031 or RM-031-5) or Demco (DM9523041) tow bars using separate adapters. Integrated mounting points let you attach an electrical connector plug bracket (sold separately) so your wiring stays tidy and ready for every trip.
You don’t need a shop to get this mounted. The kit includes all necessary hardware and bolts securely to your vehicle’s chassis using factory attachment points. It’s straightforward work that most DIYers can handle with basic tools. Once installed, you’ve got a reliable flat tow connection backed by a 3-year warranty.

The baseplate has been in use for approximately one year and has operated flawlessly. I found that it was easy to install on my F-150 and I would purchase it again.

Makes towing my truck a breeze just put the pins in and away we go great product
Quality throughout. This is my second Blue ox Base plate and I am just as impressed as the first one, Super strong and detailed installation instructions
This product from Blue ox is very strong, I would say installation difficulty is moderate. I did need to drop my intercooler to get to the bumper bolts at the inside of the frame rails. Not a big deal to anyone with experience. In their instructional video they only show one harness connector needing to be demated as you remove the bumper. In my 2023 F-150 Platinum, they were actually additional connectors and you do need to have a pry tool for wire harness clip removal as there are several harness ties to the bumper, and frame that will need to be removed for these harnesses.

Easy to follow instructions worked as a dvertised
I cannot get anyone to install them. Tommy's in Vero Beach Fl wants the truck overnight into the next day. This is a 3-4 hour job. No way I'm leaving the truck overnight. All Roads Truck states its 3.0 and wants to charge $750 to install it. Port St Lucie Florida is a rough place to get anyone to do anything.
A great product; better yet was the etrailer install videos. Without the videos, I probably wouldn't have even tried the install. DYI install went great and after 1200 miles all is good.
