Wiring Diagram For Curt Soft Trac I Trailer Breakaway Kit with Battery Charger # C52040

Question:

The wiring diagram for the curt 52040 breakaway kit does not have any relation to the wires on the unit. The diagram has 2 black from the breakaway switch but the actual unit has a black and a blue. The diagram shows a black and red from the battery but the unit actually has a red a white and a blue. Who is the idiot that put this diagram together? I need a current wiring diagram so the unit can be properly connected. I can probably eventually figure it out, but an emergency system is too important to not have it connected properly

I have attached an image below for the Curt Soft Trac I Trailer Breakaway Kit with Battery Charger # C52040. This image is from the lid of the battery case and better help to show exactly what wires connect to each other. It does show the correct colors for the wiring. I have sent a note to Curt as they are their instructions that are linked on our product page.
