Hi. I am looking at two similar trailer hitches that will, I believe, both work on the 2022 Rav4 hybrid. Curt C66KR and Draw-Tite 36675. A Can you confirm that both these hitches will fit? B Does one sit higher than the other. Or, in other words, which one provides the most clearance to the ground?

Yes, per Curt their Trailer Hitch Receiver part number # C66KR is compatible with the hybrid version of your 2022 Toyota RAV4 and the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 36675 has been confirmed as well. Each of these options are Class II hitches with a 1-1/4" receiver. Each have equal ratings of 350 lb. tongue weight and 3,500 lb. max trailer weight for towing. They are both of similar build design and set with about, or close to, 12" of ground clearance. Once installed the bottom of the hitches receiver tube sets near the same height as the exhaust tips so there is very little if any ground clearance lost. My recommendation between these two options is to simply select the better price point.

However, overall I recommend that you consider the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III - 2", # C13416. This is a 2"x2" Class III rated hitch with a max tongue weight of 600 lbs. and a max gross trailer weight rating of 4,000 lbs. This will provide about 10" of ground clearance when installed. I generally recommend going with the Class III option when available as there is usually little cost difference but a greater selection of bike racks and accessories are available in 2" over 1-1/4". Plus, the Class III will have a heavier tongue weight rating and while this may not ne needed for towing this is a good thing. The stronger it is the greater it handles a full load of bicycles and still holds up to the harsh downward impact when you hit that unexpected pothole and jolt everything downward.

If you intend to do some light towing with this hitch and not just bicycle rack or cargo carrier, you will need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, # C56434. This T-connector plugs directly into your factory wiring and has a powered converter that reduces strain on wiring system. Simply plug in the T-connector and then run the hot lead directly to the battery connection.
