This was an extremely install! All holes lines up and plastic trimming was minimal. I definitely recommend the Ecohitch for the Rav 4. Yes it costs a little more, but it is easy to put on and looks like the factory did it. etrailer videos are concise, thourough and to the point.
Ecohitch receiver arrived with no packaging on it, and parts kit shrink wrapped to it. Loses a star for ZERO protection during shipping. Receiver itself fit perfectly on a 2023 Rav4 Hybrid Woodland Edition. Used a dremel to cut the bumper fascia as directed in the instructions. Removed (3) Rearmost exhaust hangers and hung the exhaust from a ratchet strap. I’d recommend starting on the driver’s side when bolting up, as passenger side is tight.
The whole process took me about 2 hours working solo. A (recommended) second installer would make the job go a lot faster.
I have to go back and touch-up some paint, and the install is done.
Finished install looks good. No complaints.

The hitch itsekf is working fine with zero issues. Towing and hauling my e-bike without issue. The bracket that holds the plug perfectly blocks easy installation of a locking hitch pin. Its trivial... definitely not a deal breaker, but I though worth mentioning.
Very fast shipping,the box was in great condition,the hitch was in very good condition also I am very pleased! I installed it by myself in one hour , no jack , no lowing the exhaust system either , had to remove the towing bracket on the passenger side after that it was very easy to put in I put the passenger side up first on top of the exhaust and lifted the driver side and put a bolt in to hold then to the passenger side and put a bolt in that side and worked back and forth to finish.I did not cut plastic either! Very pleased with the eco hitch

I just finished the hitch receiver installation on my new '24 RAV4 Hybrid LE AWD. I was able to do this by myself in an hour. I neither raised the vehicle nor lowered the exhaust. I guided the receiver wings above the exhaust, then used a hydraulic jack to raise the hitch receiver slowly as I steered the wings into position for the bolts. Prior to this, I checked the threads in all four places with a bolt to insure they weren't damaged. Torquing the driver side bolts to 70 ft/lbs was not a problem, but the passenger side is pretty restricted. I'm waiting on a 3/4" thin crowsfoot socket to torque that side. I didn't trim the bumper.

I was looking for a hitch which gave me the highest clearance next to the factory option. Nice looking, high quality, and a breeze to install. Fortunately, I had a friend and his lift which really made it a quick and simple installation. I also chose not to modify the bumper.

5 stars for product and etrailer service. Installed product in about 45 mins. Didn’t uninstall anything but tow loop on passenger side of my 2024 RAV4 prime and 4 stickers covering install holes. That is, didn’t cut bumper or lower muffler. I could live with the bend. Basically, threw tarp on ground, laid down under back of parked vehicle and used arms, knees and toes to maneuver into place and finish install. After install, I mistakenly used faulty shank that didn’t fit in the 2” hitch opening. Thinking I was right, I complained to etrailer who in turn immediately started the return process and began process to send out a replacement. The next day, I wanted to be sure it was not the shank with the defect so I bought another shank. Sure enough, the shank was the problem, not the hitch. I called etrailer and resolved all. 5 stars for product and 5 stars+ for etrailer customer service. Will be using hitch for bike rack and possibly trailer - within spec of course. Very happy and prepared to start my Summer adventures with my new hitch.

Looks great. Installation was straightforward after watching the video. Fit my 2025 Toyota Rav 4 perfectly. The hitch was only slightly pushing up on the bottom plastic so I decided not to cut out the slot in the bumper.
I was a little concerned with the comments about damage in shipping but it was extremely well packed in a heavy duty box with no issues whatsoever.

Hitch looks great, William. It's handy to know that you didn't have to cut the bumper. I can't even tell it's adding any pressure on the bumper at all. Looks like you're already using a bike rack on it too! How often do you get to take your bikes out?
I was able to install this by myself (63 year old non-mechanical male) using a cheap $40 floor jack from Harbor Freight, a $15 1/2inch torque wrench and a $15 9/16 dog bone attachment for the wrench. The hitch gives ample clearance unlike others for driving up my steep driveway without scraping. Took me 3 hours, but on a lift and with 2 people it would be more like 1/2 hour job. Cut your plastic bumper underneath less than the recommended amount (none cut on face of bumper) and the bumper won't flex.
Great hitch. Easy to install. Definitely recommend the hidden style of hitch.

The EcoHitch hits the sweet spot for price and design. Now that Toyota OEM hitches are running $475 the EcoHitch is cheaper while still providing clean aesthetics, good clearance and a much simpler installation procedure. I strapped the tongue of the hitch to my floor jack and was able to lift it into place with minimal repositioning. The tailgate kick sensor still works as well as before (not always great in the first place) without modification. The whole installation was about an 1.25 hours by myself. The fit is excellent. The only comment relative to the provided instructions is that the suggested cutout of the fascia panel was about .25" longer/higher than it really needed to be, but still looks clean and attractive. I chose to use a .375" spade bit to round the inside corners at the top of the notch to avoid future tearing of the fascia if the corners were left sharp.
Nice product. Install was pretty easy. would have been easier with another strong person. But, I did it myself. I did lower the muffler. that is not hard at all. used jack stands to hold it close and then got screws in one by one. this hitch weighs more than I probably need. but, i like the fact it is a little more hidden. I also did trim the plastic as it suggests in the video online. I put another coat of paint on it before I put it on. Waiting on a crows foot to use the torque wrench on the one side.
Arrived Wednesday, Installed today. Looks to be well made - it is pretty heavy. It fit like a glove. The instructions were good. I also watched a video on YouTube. In all it took about 1.5 hours. I was able to do it by myself using a floor jack to lift it into place.

Ooo, a new bike rack! That's exciting! Which one are you going with?
Easy install, but as advertised, you need two (even three) people to wrestle it into place. Also it helped to suspend the hitch from the back hatch U bolt on the threshold to support some of the weight while you wrestle it into the exact position it needs to be in. This was way easier than the one I mounted on a 2016 Subaru Forester two years ago. Toyota had the nuts already brazed into the frame. Just 4 bolts and you’re done.
This hitch required trimming the rear bumper cover. With a Dremel this was easier than I thought it would be. A fine toothed file cleaned up the edges nicely.
I installed the hitch by myself using jack stands to hold it up. It was easy enough to do and the included instructions were clear and very helpful.
Shipping was easy to track and on time. Easy installation & perfect fit.

Excellent fit. Written instructions were adequate but the related video was very helpful. Passenger side work space is challenging but it works. Completed the installation without help or a lift. A floor jack was very helpful. Shipping was less than perfect. Holes in the box. Ripped the parts bag. Lost a washer. Other parts floating in the box
Overall solid hitch. Need to install it yet. Biggest issues: finish is absolutely garbage so I'm coating it with heavy duty rustoleum enamel and truck bedliner. Second, shipping box/how it is shipped is not good. The thinner edges need to be wrapped because they will and did punch through the box. So, if you get this hitch, just be aware that you'll have to completely reboot it before you install it. I was aware of the poor shipping box issues, but was a bit surprised by the really poor quality coating.

Its in great shape, a little bit of rust in some corners, but not bad. I did spray it with bed liner and tractor enamel before installing due to other reviews having rust issues.
Hitch was solid and easy to install. I only take 1 star away as I did receive it with the common complaint of damage in transit. I had to address those damaged parts before installing as I live in the rust belt and the damaged parts would rust immediately. Awesome hitch overall.
Fits nicely, one person driveway install. Tucks up nicely against the bumper valance. The valance flexed just enough to make me not want to notch it.
For delivery it arrived by UPS quickly, on time and undamaged. As far as the hitch, it installed as instructed and fit correctly. It tucks up nicer than others and far less trouble than OEM.Yes, OEM is slightly higher and more concealed. But I don’t see the value for twice the cost snd install time. Installed on 2025 RAV4 limited. Load capacity limitation is not an issue of hitch. The hatch opener kick sensor wiring wasn’t an issue if removed to cut the notch. Although I don’t use it the sensor still works ok with hitch. Installation 30 minutes.
Running the power wire to battery for the light controller is more trouble than hanging the hitch.
This is my second rav4 hitch from etrailer.com I recommend purchasing from again.
It's pretty straightforward; with an extra hand to lift the hitch or some kind of scissor lift jack, you're all set.
