Question:

I have a 2005 Ford F150 with a factory installed trailer hitch that was damaged. Do you have any hitches that could be installed after the damaged one is removed?

I have a great solution for you. In order to replace your factory hitch on your 2005 Ford F-150, you need to purchase and install an aftermarket bumper. This is because the OEM hitch on a 2005 Ford F-150 tie into the factory bumper while our aftermarket hitches do not.

Once the factory bumper is replaced, you will be able to install a replacement hitch. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 13357. Not only does this hitch provide you with 600 pounds of maximum tongue weight and 6,000 pounds of maximum gross towing capacity, it also comes with a superior gloss coat over the base powder coat that provides you with ultimate rust and corrosion resistance. To top it all off, the hitch was assembled in the U.S.A.
