The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C14357 is a confirmed fit for your 2005 Ford F-150 but will not fit with the factory installed hitch. You will need to remove the factory hitch to install an aftermarket hitch like this. This is the strongest hitch option, so it is my recommendation for your application. It is an easy installation and has a nice black powder coat finish to resist rust. This hitch will work very well as long as the rust has not compromised the truck frame.

Jason, What additional parts are needed when i take off the factory hitch on my 2005 f150 and replace it with Curt C14357. The original factory hitch has the bumper attached to it. Once removed there are no attachment points to put bumper back on. I can't find any replacement parts to bolt up the bumper without the factory hitch. Any ideas what is needed.

@Michael We had a customer that cut the hitch off of the bumper then reattached the bumper using all of the original hardware. He said this was the only way to reinstall the bumper because of the issue you're referencing.
