The ups guy draggged the hitch on my driveway that I sealed and scraped up the hitch from the bottom

by:

I bought the trailer brand ,very good price and quality , you will not be disappointed in the service it is also top notch, something that seems to be in short supply these days....

by:

You made it so easy!

by:

Overall fit and finish of the hitch was very good. The only complaint I have is the I was unable to use the wire to fish thru 1 bolt on each side. The bolts seemed to be a bit too long and would not pull through the hole. I had to cut a hole on the inside of the box frame to align the bolts and get them through the holes in the frame and hitch.

by:

Great fit and quick installation. Exactly what I was looking for. 100% great customer service!

by:

You answered all my question in 2 mins and ordered me the proper hitch for my truck. Will highly recommend to anyone looking for a hitch for any application. Thanks a Ton !!

2005 Ford F-150

Had it hooked up in unfder thirty minutes. Watching vidoes prior to trailer parts arriving was very helpful.

by:

great productthe best i have ordered on line, price, shipping and quality was excellent.would recommend this company to all my friends and family.

by:

The hitch looks great. I havent towed with it yet. The installation was a nightmare. The wire they give you to fish the bolts through the frame did not thread onto the bolt. I had to jam it on the bolt and twist it to get it top stay on. It took way too long to install it. Curt will be getting an email today about the wire tool.. As for etrailer.com, they are awesome. They shipped out my order very fast. I would recommend them to anyone.

Ford

I can't really give this a favorable rating yet, the web page said this was a 30 min. job to install. OMG were they wrong, they must have had two or three guys holding each side and the third bolting it on to the frame. First off, the directions said to lower the exhaust for ease of installation. My tail pipe is one piece with only a single vertical stabilizing hanger. I removed it and the pipe was as rigid as before . Whats really in the way is the rear spring subport on the passengers side. Even with a floor jack I could not hold the hitch up, maneuver it to position and start the bolding pattern. This is not a one man job.
Tomorrow I'm taking it to the Ford dealer to have it installed. So much for thirty min. installation and 3 out of 10 difficulty.

I received my product on time, Naomi was very helpful, polite and professional helping me select the right tow hitch. etrailer I recommend for every consumer reasonable prices are great services.

Everything lined up perfectly. Paint finish looks great

by:

Shipped on time. Box in good shape. Snug fit. Took a bit to put on because I didnt have a floor Jack and had the press it. The only thing that was slightly off were the flanges that bolt to the bumper toe chain holes. Threading the fish wire was a little tricky in two spots but it's on and I'm pleased. Haven't towed my trailer yet but looking forward to it. Didn't want to have to drill holes. Didn't have to.

by:

Took me 40 min to install.I was on my back on the ground just by myself. I was reading the other reviews and theres no way this should take over an hour. I also chose not to touch the exhaust and just left it in place for the installation. I used a bottle jack with a 4x4 on the receiver and then a jack on either end. After it was in place the bolt holes were all pretty much lined up. Very easy to assemble with no problems what so ever. Would definitely recommend this product. DO NOT listen to the other reviews that says it takes hours. As long as you can block it up by yourself it is a very simple project

by:

Had the product in 2 days. Excellent shipping. No missing parts and instructions were easy to follow. Took about 2 hours to do by myself. Could of done it faster but I wasn't in a rush and took my time. Will order again from this site!!

This went on pretty easily. Ran into a little hiccup, but a little use of a pry bar and it did the trick. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Excellent product. Fit perfectly even with a bent bumper. Arrived in a couple of days. My only complaint is the poor packaging. The box was all torn up and the hardware bag open and pieces loose. Thankfully the driver picked them up!

  • Replacement For Rusting Factory Trailer Hitch on 2004 Ford F150
The factory hitch on your vehicle is integrated into the factory bumper mounting brackets, so removing the OEM hitch will result in losing your bumper. My contact at Curt tells me that he also had an early 2000's F-150, and he ended up having to go to a junkyard to obtain bumper brackets from a F-150 that didn't have a factory hitch. Once that's all done, you can then install an aftermarket hitch like the Curt Class III, part # 13357.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2004 Ford F150
2004 was a split model year for the Ford F150. Two F150 models were offered, the Heritage which was the rounded body style like the 2003 model or the new body style, like the 2005 model. The hitch you need will depend on which body style your truck is. If you have the new body style, I'd recommend the Draw-Tite Class III hitch, part # 41549. Some of the new body trucks had a vibration dampener at the rear of the vehicle. The hitch includes a bracket that lets the vibration dampener be...

  • Installation of Curt Hitch 13357 on 2005 Ford F-150 with Factory Hitch
Curt hitch # 13357 and the others made for the 2005 Ford F-150 that are shown on the linked page are intended for the trucks that do not have the factory hitch. As you have already found out, the bumper and bumper brackets are integrated with the factory hitch. To install Curt # 13357 you will need to find an OEM bumper and OEM bumper brackets from a similar truck that did not have the factory hitch. This is the advice provided by my tech contact at Curt who is very familiar with the...

  • What Replacement Hitch do You Recommend for a 2005 Ford F-150?
I have a great solution for you. In order to replace your factory hitch on your 2005 Ford F-150, you need to purchase and install an aftermarket bumper. This is because the OEM hitch on a 2005 Ford F-150 tie into the factory bumper while our aftermarket hitches do not. Once the factory bumper is replaced, you will be able to install a replacement hitch. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 13357. Not only does this hitch provide you with 600 pounds of maximum...

  • Hitch and Wiring Recommendation For 2004 Ford F-150 FX4
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13357 will fit all models of the 2004 Ford F-150 with or without vibration dampener as long as it does not have a factory installed hitch. We currently do not have any hitches that fit the F-150 with a factory installed hitch. If the 2004 Ford F-150 has a factory 4-flat you can use Tow Package Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector part # 118247 for a 7-way plug. If your 2004 Ford F-150 has a factory 7-way and you need to replace it...

You will just need to lower the exhaust to access the pre-drilled holes in your trucks frame. This hitch does not require any drilling whatsoever to install. • Trailer Hitch Fit for 2005 Ford F-150 STX/XLT with Factory Vibration Dampener
We can offer you several options in a 2-inch Class III hitch that will fit your 2005 Ford F-150 STX/XLT that has the factory vibration dampener. Curt offers hitches # C13352 which costs less but requires some drilling, and # 13357 which costs a bit more but does not require drilling for installation. Both are confirmed fits for your truck and both work with the factory dampener. I do suggest the no-drill option # 13357. The written instructions and a helpful article are linked to assist...

  • Does Curt Multi-Fit Trailer Hitch Fit 2004 Ford F-150 and Require Drilling
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13902 will fit essentially any model of truck and that includes your 2004 Ford F-150. To install it though, you will need to drill holes, as outlined in the linked installation instructions. Because of that I do not recommend this hitch for your F-150 and instead strongly recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13357. This hitch does not require any drilling to install into your 2004 Ford F-150 and is designed as a custom-fit for your truck, which...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2004 Ford F-150 Towing 5,500 lbs
Hi! Although we do not carry the hitch you referenced based on my research it looks like it has a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 lbs and a maximum tongue weight capacity of 500 lbs so you will not want to use it to tow your horse trailer and horses that are 5,500+ lbs. It is unsafe to use a hitch that does not have the correct towing capacity. There are a couple of better options for trailer hitches that I highly recommend checking out. FIrst, if you are certain that your trailer and...

  • Can Curt Trailer Hitch Be Installed On 2004 Ford F-150 That Has Factory-Installed Hitch
The Curt Trailer Hitch, part # 13357 will work on your 2004 F-150. The hitch you have will simply need to be removed. If it is welded on which some older model Fords did you will need to have it cut off the truck. The # 13357 will bolt to the frame of the truck. The note about no fit if you have a factory hitch installed means it cannot be installed in addition to the factory hitch on your truck. This is a Class lll trailer hitch and it has a 2-inch receiver opening.

  • Can Trailer Hitch Receiver Be Installed On 2004 Ford F-150 With Factory Hitch
It is possible to install a hitch like the Curt # 13357 on your 2004 Ford F-150 with a factory hitch, but it will take more than the basic installation steps. The main issue is that the factory hitch is integrated into the factory bumper mounting brackets. Since the factory hitch must be removed to install a new one, you will also have to acquire new OEM bumper brackets. Your best bet is to find old brackets from a junkyard or maybe a dealer if they have some old parts around. Depending...
