Question:

I have an older Thule hanging hitch rack that i love. Recently bought new carbon XC bike at the top tube that rests on the cradle is wider than the cradle, so it does not sit well. Is there a wider cradle available?

The two Thule cradles we have that will fit onto a 1" arm (Stay-Put Cradle # 853-7887 and T2 Cradle Body # 853-5829 which would need the # 753-3535 strap to go with it) will have 1-3/4" of space at their widest points. This is fairly standard and it does cause some problems with bikes that have wider/larger top tubes.

With that said, you may need to upgrade to a platform style rack that tightens down on the wheels (you do not want a frame mount style as it can damage the carbon fiber frame). I wasn't sure how many bikes you carry, so I have 1 bike, 2 bike, and 4 bike options from Thule listed below.
