Hey Richard! Installation of the Replacement Rubber Strap item # 753-3535 is pretty straight forward. You will need to remove the cap from the end of the bike support arm, a Phillips screw typically holds the cap in place. Then you will want to use a small amount of soap and water to help the Replacement T2 cradles item # 853-5829 slide off easily.

Good morning from Southern California! Thanks so much! It was 5 AM here when I first read your message. At about an hour I’ll try your method. Victoria and I ride our bikes about 40 miles a week and the bike rack had been with us a big chunk of our 50 years together. So this morning, I will take one off, slide another one in into position, and order two new straps. Brilliant, epic, and excellent help

@RichardC Good morning Richard! Glad I could help! Hope you and Victoria continue to enjoy riding your bikes together and get quite a few more years out of your bike rack! Where do you guys ride at? I used to live in San Bernadino and 29 Palms. Let me know if you need anymore replacement parts or want to upgrade your bike rack.
