Trailer Hitch Fit for 2018 Acura MDX w/ Full Size Spare Tire

Question:
Do any of your hitches allow for a full sized spare on my model-it has 18x8 inch factory rims with Michelin 245-60r18 tires. Since towing is NOT recommended using the donut spare, I would really like to keep the full sized spare. I can’t see where I would ever have more than 200-300 lb tongue weight. Thank you

None of the hitches we offer for the 2018 Acura MDX would allow a full sized spare to be stowed under the vehicle with the hitch installed.
Your best bet would be to go with the compact spare, and if you get a flat while towing install the compact spare and carefully limp the trailer someplace safe where you can leave it until you can get the flat tire repaired or replaced. I wouldn't recommend towing any further on that compact than it would take to get to a safe place.
Of the available hitches, I'd recommend the US made etrailer Class III hitch, part # e98840. The hitch is a reasonably priced, yet high quality option that would work great for you. In addition to the hitch, you'll also need a # 118628 trailer connector for a 4 pole, or for a 7-way use # 118289. For a ball mount use # 2753 along with # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch trailer ball.
I've linked to installation videos that you might find helpful.
