Arrived on time and in excellent condition. Instructions were easy to follow as was the video. Installed it less than 30 minutes using a floor jack and a second set of hands.
The receiver installation was as promised and still looks new, even with a year in Northern Minnesota and traveling on gravel daily.
once I got the bolt holes in my car's frame cleared of rust (not an insignificant challenge, and not at all the fault of this product), the install was pretty straightforward. product looks great and looking forward to being able to mount my bike rack to it.
There were two issues that I ran into: 1). the bolt holes in my 2017 Acura were rusted and I needed to ream them out before I could install the hitch - that’s nothing negative about the hitch - just a caution if you are attaching this to an older car/truck. 2). While the hitch lined up perfectly, there was a rubber connector (exhaust system) that was hard to get around. I’d suggest that this is a 2 person job. Again, this was not an hitch issue but a car issue. The hitch has performed well.
Promptly shipped, well packaged, and just as described. Although there was an abrasion on one of the tube arms which could have been avoided by have the adhesive paper shipping tape extend the full length of the arm. Installation was direct and straight forward. The video on the web site was very helpful. My torque wrench only goes to 100 ft lbs so I have to find a local shop to torque the mounting bolts to the full 139 lbs as specific in the instructions.
A mount for the wiring harness would be nice but etrailer offers a harness that will work with a large hose clamp holding the bracket to the arm.
Overall, pleased with the purchase. Good quality at a reasonable price from an American sourced company with excellent customer service.
This is a very quality product and it installed perfectly on the vehicle. The instructions were great and it was a simple install. I would highly recommend this product to a friend or family member.
Very solid piece and the installation was very simple. This is my second hitch from eTrailer.com and both are great quality.

I used the trailer hitch on my 2019 Acura MDX to transport 2 bicycles from New England to Florida and back. I had no issues plus the hitch does not stick out from rear bumper it’s flush. No problems with opening rear hatch when bikes are on the bike rack

Great hitch. Arrived quickly and exactly as described. Box was a bit torn up, but everything was there. Installed easily and is very well built and sturdy. Have been using it for probably over a year now, and it still looks and works like new. Very happy with it.

Another year later, and still very happy that I bought it. Still looks like new, despite multiple winters of salty roads, and still does everything I ask it to do. Very high quality hitch. If anything, this hitch not only met my expectations, but exceeded them, which unfortunately isnt something I get to say very often with the way most things are built these days. Dont even hesitate... just buy it. You wont regret it.
Extremely well built hitch. Made from thicker steel than I expected. Fit my 2018 Honda Pilot like a glove. It’s definitely a two person installation. Highly recommended.
This is the 3rd hitch that I have purchased from etrailer and every transaction has been excellent. The team is extremely quick in processing orders and their pricing and customer service are going to be hard to beat. They provide very detailed instructions to make sure the installation process goes as smoothly as possible. The only I did differently was to thread a bolt into every bolt hole and then back it out at the beginning to ensure I would not run into any issues when I actually had the hitch in position ready to install.

Installation and performance just as advertised! Affordable and recommended hitch receiver and wiring.
This hitch was a perfect fit for our 2019 Acura MDX hybrid. Although the MDX hybrid is not rated for towing, it is already prepped to receive a hitch. We won't be towing anything, but installed this to carry our bikes. Therefore didn't need the harness for lights and brake controllers.
This was a simple install and all parts and instructions were included. Our MDX is essentially new, so the mounting nuts, which are factory install and pre-welded to the frame, needed no cleaning. If dirty, a simply wire brush and a few spritzes of water should clean those out. Overall, it took about 10 minutes to unpack and install. My 16yo son and I picked a side, slid under the car, supported the hitch (about 50 lbs.) on our knees and screwed in the bolts. Once torqued to spec, the hitch was rock solid.
Overall, this seems to be an excellent product, perfect for our limited needs.

After a year, the hitch continues to do exactly what its supposed to, provide a secure means to attach our bike rack to our SUV. The Acura MDX hybrid is not rated for towing, but there are no restrictions limiting the use of a hitch mounted bike rack. In fact, all mounting points are provided. Accordingly, we installed the hitch as described in my prior review without any difficulty. After a year of regular use, it remains rock solid. No hesitation recommending this hitch.
Quick free shipment and fair price. It’s also nice to talk to a US based company with great customer service on the phone. Nobody had a 2” Curt trailer hitch for my Acura MDX so the only option was etrailer’s brand. I had it installed by a local mechanic and he liked the quality and ease of installation of this tow bar. It only took him 40 minutes to attach the hitch and install the wiring harness. Thank you for coming through etrailer!

Trailer hitch still works great after using it for a year.
The hitch fit perfectly and was easy to install. We will use it with a bike rack, cargo rack and trailer. It is very heavy duty and solid.
So glad I found this hitch, and especially etrailer.com. Install was simple. 6 bolts. I did it by myself without any issues. In my case I just want to be able to use my bike rack and hitch haul, and don't need any wiring. This is the way to go! etrailer has great resources, and I LOVE that it's all on the same page and I don't have to go search for it. A++ on all counts!!

Perfectly. I am really glad I shopped etrailer instead of having a shop install this hitch.
I am very satisfied with etrailer and the Receiver Hitch I purchased from them for my 2018 Acura MDX. The package arrived quickly and the box and its contents were in perfect condition. I was able to install the product myself (without a lift or any other person helping), and I am 72 years old. I highly recommend etrailer and their products!

After one year this product is as good as the day I installed it.
Fit perfectly on my 2019 Honda Pilot.
Bolted in ok looks good. Tucked right in behind rear bumper, drops below and behind bumper so you won’t catch a shin with receiver. Will be testing it out this weekend. My only issues are with how it is shipped I guess. The box was destroyed. Glad none of the hardware went missing.

Just installed e98840 on 2018 Honda Pilot. Fits great. Matte finish works great with lower plastic of bumper. Although box was a bit rough on delivery the hitch was in perfect condition. Also very quick shipping

Hitch has worked out well after 1 year
Order came VERY fast (less than 2 days). Love the video provided on the website. Made installation very easy.
Very hardy constructed trailer hitch. I use it to mount a wheelchair carrier that I have used to haul large tools like floor standing drill press, full size band saws, 10 bags of mulch, large loads of lumber, etc. The hitch easily supports anything I choose to haul including many trips from Indiana to south Florida.
