Fits perfect. Heavy and definitely quantity. If you live in a state that uses road salt during the winter, prepare to tap the weldnuts in the frame and to use a lot of rust remover solvent. This isn't an issue with the product itself, just trying to give future buyers a heads up :)
I am very satisfied with etrailer and the Receiver Hitch I purchased from them for my 2018 Acura MDX. The package arrived quickly and the box and its contents were in perfect condition. I was able to install the product myself (without a lift or any other person helping), and I am 72 years old. I highly recommend etrailer and their products!
So glad I found this hitch, and especially etrailer.com. Install was simple. 6 bolts. I did it by myself without any issues. In my case I just want to be able to use my bike rack and hitch haul, and don't need any wiring. This is the way to go! etrailer has great resources, and I LOVE that it's all on the same page and I don't have to go search for it. A++ on all counts!!

Perfectly. I am really glad I shopped etrailer instead of having a shop install this hitch.
There were two issues that I ran into: 1). the bolt holes in my 2017 Acura were rusted and I needed to ream them out before I could install the hitch - that’s nothing negative about the hitch - just a caution if you are attaching this to an older car/truck. 2). While the hitch lined up perfectly, there was a rubber connector (exhaust system) that was hard to get around. I’d suggest that this is a 2 person job. Again, this was not an hitch issue but a car issue. The hitch has performed well.
Quick free shipment and fair price. It’s also nice to talk to a US based company with great customer service on the phone. Nobody had a 2” Curt trailer hitch for my Acura MDX so the only option was etrailer’s brand. I had it installed by a local mechanic and he liked the quality and ease of installation of this tow bar. It only took him 40 minutes to attach the hitch and install the wiring harness. Thank you for coming through etrailer!

Trailer hitch still works great after using it for a year.
once I got the bolt holes in my car's frame cleared of rust (not an insignificant challenge, and not at all the fault of this product), the install was pretty straightforward. product looks great and looking forward to being able to mount my bike rack to it.
This hitch was a perfect fit for our 2019 Acura MDX hybrid. Although the MDX hybrid is not rated for towing, it is already prepped to receive a hitch. We won't be towing anything, but installed this to carry our bikes. Therefore didn't need the harness for lights and brake controllers.
This was a simple install and all parts and instructions were included. Our MDX is essentially new, so the mounting nuts, which are factory install and pre-welded to the frame, needed no cleaning. If dirty, a simply wire brush and a few spritzes of water should clean those out. Overall, it took about 10 minutes to unpack and install. My 16yo son and I picked a side, slid under the car, supported the hitch (about 50 lbs.) on our knees and screwed in the bolts. Once torqued to spec, the hitch was rock solid.
Overall, this seems to be an excellent product, perfect for our limited needs.

After a year, the hitch continues to do exactly what its supposed to, provide a secure means to attach our bike rack to our SUV. The Acura MDX hybrid is not rated for towing, but there are no restrictions limiting the use of a hitch mounted bike rack. In fact, all mounting points are provided. Accordingly, we installed the hitch as described in my prior review without any difficulty. After a year of regular use, it remains rock solid. No hesitation recommending this hitch.
My brother and I did it together and it was an easy install. Only thing of note is that the package came damaged, but there were no damages to the parts so I assumed it was a result of delivery.
Also, my pilot was a little rusted so the threads where the bolts were to go in were all rusted so I had to get a tap to clean it up before the bolts would go in. It was smooth sailing after that.
Trailer hitch was easy to install.
It's too early to tell as it arrived on a Tue, 5/19 and was installed Fri, 5/22. They need to improve the packaging as the box was broken open from the hitch flopping around in the box.
The hitch was in good shape when I got it, the box was a little beat up when it was delivered and some hardware was loose inside the box from its packaging.
The hitch fit perfectly and this is my second time ordering from you, and if I ever need another one, I will order from etrailer again. Thank you.
Hitch seems fine but trailer sent what app to be a return item and hardware was missing and/or used. I had to source from local hardware but they did not stock proper size. Trailer cs sent new bolts but took an additional 4 days to arrive.
This hitch is extremely well constructed and fits perfectly on my Acura MDX. It looks like it came from the factory with this hitch on it.
The receiver installation was as promised and still looks new, even with a year in Northern Minnesota and traveling on gravel daily.
Hitch fit very well on my 21 honda pilot, did not have to modify the bumper cover at all and fit very sleek. Built very heavy duty.
This is the 3rd hitch that I have purchased from etrailer and every transaction has been excellent. The team is extremely quick in processing orders and their pricing and customer service are going to be hard to beat. They provide very detailed instructions to make sure the installation process goes as smoothly as possible. The only I did differently was to thread a bolt into every bolt hole and then back it out at the beginning to ensure I would not run into any issues when I actually had the hitch in position ready to install.

Arrived on time and in excellent condition. Instructions were easy to follow as was the video. Installed it less than 30 minutes using a floor jack and a second set of hands.
Box was damaged but not surprised given the weight of the hitch. The online instructions and specs were accurate. It is a two person job if you dont have a jack/lift. This was my second purchase from etrailer and very satisfied customer.
The box arrived with some damage and the label on the hitch had been partially scratched off. That part of the hitch is hidden behind the bumper on our vehicle, so it was not an issue. The install was simple and the fit was perfect. Everything that was needed for our install was included in the package. I did not wire anything as it will only be used for a bike rack and a rear storage rack.
The fit-and-finish is very nice on this hitch. All the mounting hardware is included and the instructional clips on YouTube are easy to follow.
I had two installment issues to deal with: (1) rusted mounting threads on my 7-year-old vehicle which has no bearing on the hitch. (2) the weight, which was not included in the description, was more than I anticipated (46#... google put it at appr. 37# - nope!), making it a challenge to mount by myself. Otherwise there were no issues and the hitch has a nice, clean look to it.
Extremely well built. Heavy duty. Installation is a two-man job as this is a big and awkward hunk of steel. Brush out the holes on your frame as recommended (I used a car battery terminal steel brush) and install the bolts with a little WD-40 to further clean them out. And get someone to help hold the hitch in place.
This was easy to install and a year later it has been perfect. I will be going to etrailer again with any new vehicle I need a hitch for.
Quality product. We added a trailer hitch just to be able to add on a bike rack when needed. Installation was straight forward. Only issue was I had a full sized spare and this unit would not fit except with the donut spare, so I had to give up the full size spare as a trade off.
I’m extremely impressed with this trailer hitch receiver. The quality of the product is excellent, and it feels very solid and well built. The fit and finish are great, and once installed it has a clean, almost factory appearance on the vehicle.
I also really like the fact that the cross tube is hidden behind the bumper, so you’re really only seeing the receiver itself. It gives the Pilot a much cleaner look than some other hitches.
Overall, this is a heavy-duty, high-quality hitch that I would absolutely recommend. It feels like a product that is built to last, and I’m very happy with the purchase. Excellent quality, great fit, and a very clean finished appearance.
