This hitch is built for everyday towing and hauling. With a maximum gross trailer weight of 6,000 lbs and a tongue weight limit of 900 lbs, it’s strong enough for utility trailers, small campers, and cargo carriers. When paired with a weight distribution setup, capacity jumps to 8,000 lbs GTW while keeping the same 900 lbs tongue weight. It’s a solid all-around option for bikes, gear, and weekend hauling.
The cross tube tucks up under the vehicle so only the square 2" receiver opening is visible. The concealed design gives it an OE-style appearance that blends in rather than hanging below the bumper. If you care about keeping a clean, factory-like look while still adding serious utility, this setup does it right.
Everything about the construction is made for strength and durability. Precision robotic welding ensures consistent alignment and maximum structural integrity, while the steel is co-cured inside and out with a rust-resistant liquid A-coat. A gloss black powder coat finish adds extra protection against corrosion and keeps the hitch looking sharp over time.
The hitch bolts directly to existing points on the frame using included mounting hardware—no cutting or welding required. The open-back receiver makes cleaning out road grit easy after heavy use. It’s engineered for a custom fit so once installed, it aligns perfectly and performs like it was meant to be there from day one.

Bolts for installation were not include d.
I purchased a Curt trailer hitch and a Curt wiring harness from etrailer, and the entire experience was outstanding. The wiring harness installed in about 10 minutes with zero hassle, and the hitch fit perfectly—everything lined up exactly as it should. Delivery was right on time, and the tracking information was clear and accurate throughout the process. etrailer made the whole project easy from start to finish. Highly recommend!
Bolt pattern fits dead on. But sensors inside bumper prevent attachment. Will be returning.
Easy installation. Working great so far
Bolted right up and looks great. Instructions were right on the money.
The installation requires three fuses (not two as indicated in the instructions), I learned this from reading other reviews, thanks everyone. It was frustrating until I added the third fuse.
The hitch was delivered within a couple days, it fit perfectly all hardware was correct. Very satisfied with the fit and finish.
I installed the hitch on the front of my truck. I have had ZERO problems with it. The only thing I would suggest is, in the instructions, it had said to remove the front air dam before installation. I could have avoided cutting as much of it as I did to get the hitch to swing into place. Other than that, it has been a great addition to my truck.
Fast delivery coast-to-coast from etrailer. The package (Curt Receiver and wiring harness) arrived in tact with absolutely no damage to the box. Wonderful product. Fit my 2025 Honda Pilot perfectly. Though the install is straightforward, the etrailer videos specific to my SUV made me comfortable buying this online. Total install time, working on my own without a lift, was about 60 minutes.
Well built hitches and quick delivery! I have ordered from etrailer before and happy with the product! I recommend !!!!

Great hitch and very sturdy. I have bought these twice and are easy to install and use! Recommend still years later!
Delivery was quick and swift. Package nicely installation. Instructions were fantastic.
To be fair, I have a 4 post lift so I cheated. The hitch itself is heavy, beefy, impossible for one person to handle overhead at 60-80lbs. Once my backup person arrived it took the 2 of us just a few minutes to attach the hitch to my 2025 Pilot and torqued to bolts down to @120flbs. (that's all I could muster) The wiring was more intense. The coupler on the car was fasten to the inner fender and we could not see how. My son was able to weasel his hand in to the cranny and somehow got it plugged in, in place. The ground wire was, as on the video, easy. Fuses; This is the only issue I have. There was a spare mini 20a (position 12) fuse in the lid of the Honda fuse box because I had none of this format. The larger, low profile, micro rectangular 30a fuse (position 7) is a runaround and I'm still looking. Perhaps updating the wiring kit to include the proper fuses and enable the install to be completed on the same day. No one likes to head uptown for parts. Very satisfied with the product and the whole process and I would recommend this for anyone wishing to save money. My son had a hitch installed by Honda on his 2024 Passport and paid nearly $900. My final tab not including the missing fuse was $312.
Once you find the stationary vehicle plug by hand up on the driver wheel well (not visible) you simply plug and play. There are a few older tutorials on line that’s confusing but helpful. As for my 2026 Pilot Elite everything was a breeze, even the supplied fuze was a good fit. No need to buy anything at the auto store.
The hitch is very solid and the wire harness is an exact fit. I only have it four stars because it was almost impossible to determine the torque specs for the bolts on Curt’s site and etrailer. The video instructions were helpful, but the r torque information would have been very useful.

Curt lists the torque specs in step # 2 of the printed instructions, check out this link: https://www.etrailer.com/instructions.aspx?pn=C22HR
Delivered to wrong home happened to see ups go by so checked out couple of neighbors and saw trailer on box.box had hole ripped in it. Took car over and picked up. No damage, bolts taped secure.curt hitch, great welding, perfect fit, at 71 I put this in alone in less than 20 minutes in my 2023 pilot. Threw on top of box with a 4 wheel rectangular dolly under box. Pushed under chassis, pushed up passenger side and got rear most bolt started. Tightened partial went to other side and pushed up and got another and pushed straight and connected rest.easiest install of a class 3 2 inch I ever did. I started welding hitches on in the 80s.electrical hookup purchase also was great. Wow. Plug and connect ground, put in a couple fuses in box. Checked works perfect. Alot better than the old trace and splice. etrailer videos make it simple
Delivery was in 2 days and install took about 30 minutes, the hardest part was getting the spare tire to nest in without rubbing on the hitch. That was the only part of the process which required two people. This fits perfectly on a 2026 Honda Pilot.
The trailer hitch receiver and wiring harness fit on my 2026 Honda Pilot perfectly.
Trailer is awesome since the introduction of YouTube because all the stuff that cost $1400 at a car dealership can now be done at 25% the cost and about an hour of your time. This is my 2nd time using eTrailer and the communication, quick ship, and instructional videos are all awesome!!!

I should have also done the flat four electrical connection in my 2025 Honda Pilot since it was so easy! The hitch still is awesome! I did get the Honda brand rubber hitch cap from my local Honda dealer.
This was a great experience. Installed it myself 6 bolts had perfect alignment. Be sure to torque them. The video was great for the install of hitch and lights especially. Communication and package tracking was also great. Price was a little higher than Amazon but it was worthwhile due to ease and getting it done right.
Shipping was fast, box was a little bit up so i had to do a little paint touch up. Installation was a breeze (thanks to the factory weld nuts). The hardest part is definitely getting the hitch up into place due to the weight. Having two people would be more helpful but you can do it solo just make sure the bolts go in smooth (legs and arms at the same time haha).
1. The hitch extends out from the bottom little bit too far. I think it should be couple of inches less.
2. The fifth door opening by the leg swing became not as readily as it was before. Sometime I have to swing several times to make it work.
Perfect fit! Less than 48hrs shipping across the entire US… Free Shipping! Easy install with all hardware included…. Thanks for a top notch business!

1 Year Later… the hitch we purchased has been used numerous times and has met all our expectations. Very satisfied with the fit, the performance, and the quality of the finish.

Installation went as described. You may as well go ahead and remove the spare before you start as it just complicates things if you try to install with the spare in place. Make sure you have a torque wrench to complete the job. This was an install on a 2025 Honda Pilot. 30 minute install after the spare is out of the way. Used a floor jack and section of 2x8 to lift the receiver into place.
Perfect fit! Easy to purchase, fast shipping and great online installation videos.

Still working great. No rust either. Just perfect

Shipped quick, exactly as described. Would order from again. On my ‘24 MDX the vehicle wiring harness that’s used for trailer wiring is *inside* the vehicle. So the 4 pin plug and excess wire stays stowed in the vehicle rather than outside on the actual hitch. Per the installation instructions, I’m to close the wire under the door when I’m pulling a trailer. I’ll be cutting off the 4 pin plug and routing the wires through an existing grommet in order to avoid that.
