    • Recommended Hitch for a 2023 Honda Pilot
To add a 2" hitch to your 2023 Honda Pilot, I recommend the etrailer Hitch item # e27KR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Pilot with included hardware. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a maximum tongue weight of 900 lbs so you will have no issues with capacity. I have linked an installation video below. Please note that the hitch fits with a mini spare tire stored under your Pilot, but does not fit with a full size spare. Also, the hitch may interfere with...

    • What is the Best Hitch for a 2026 Acura MDX?
Hey Mark, congrats on the new SUV! The best hitch for your 2026 Acura MDX, is going to be our etrailer item # e27KR. This custom fit class III hitch has a 2" receiver, which will provide you with 6,000 lbs towing and 900 lbs tongue weight capacities. It'll be great for towing a trailer or hauling an accessory like a bike rack or cargo carrier. The reason our etrailer Hitch item # e27KR is the best option is because of how it's going to look once you get it installed. The entire crosstube...

    • Will Curt Hitch for 2026 Honda Pilot Require Cutting Bumper
Hey Kelly! The Curt 13146 fits 2016 - 2022 Honda Pilot. What you need for your 2026 Honda Pilot is the Curt # C22HR. This has a bolt-on installation and does not require any cutting or trimming of the bumper so you won't be modifying the vehicle. What will you be using the hitch for?

    • Will Curt Hitch Throw a Code for Liftgate Kick Sensor on a 2025 Honda Pilot Black Edition
Hey B, thanks for reaching out! The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C22HR won't throw any codes on your 2025 Honda Pilot if the rear kick sensor ends up being blocked enough that it has trouble reading any foot movements - that feature will simply struggle to operate is all. The best way we've found to get a stubborn sensor to pick up movement is to move your foot back and forth like you're kicking a soccer ball instead of "swiping" your foot from side to side.

    • Will Curt Hitch Fit 2026 Acura MDX A-Spec
Hello Brian; the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C22HR will still fit your 2026 Acura MDX A-Spec. According to Curt, there is a factory sensor relocation kit you will have to get from the dealer before you can install it. Your local dealer should be able to get this for you, or you may be able to find it on an OEM parts site. What will you be using the hitch for?

    • 2022 Acura MDX Hitch Receiver and Spare Tire Space
I will be happy to clear up the confusion for you. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # C22HR you referenced and the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver item # DT42MR will only accommodate the 18" spare on your 2022 Acura MDX. These are the only two hitches available for your 2022 MDX and both have the same dimensions and limitations when it comes to room for your spare tire. The spare tire mounted on the 20" wheel will not fit. Both of these hitches are custom fit and bolt directly...

    • Why Is Curt Hitch for 2025 Honda Pilot Not Compatible With Vertical Hanging Bike Rack
Hi Anthony; the forces applied to the # C22HR hitch and the frame from a vertical hanging bike rack (bike racks that require the bicycles to be hung / mounted vertically) are different from your standard platform rack like the # HLY94FR or hanging bike rack. Curt runs their hitches through a lot of testing so I'm sure they found the stress from this rack style is too much for the hitch and/or vehicle frame.

    • Will The Draw-Tite DT42MR Fit 2023 Acura MDX Technology With 20" Full Size Spare?
Hey Ralph, thanks for reaching out. I am sorry to say that the Draw-Tite # DT42MR will NOT fit with the full size 20" spare tire on your 2025 Acura MDX. Basically all of the hitches for the 2025 MDX, the etrailer # e27KR, Curt # C22HR, and Draw-Tite # DT42MR are structurally identical so it will be the same case for every hitch. The side flanges and cross tube of the hitches simply don't allow room for the full size spare. If you need to carry cargo with your MDX an alternative solution...

    • Comparing etrailer and Curt Hitch for 2025 Honda Pilot
Hey Daniel! The etrailer # e27KR and Curt # C22HR look so similar because they share the same design. The only real difference between the two is the finish. I prefer our own etrailer finish which is a matte black. This gives it an OEM appearance and also helps hide dirt and scratches. If you prefer a glossy finish then the Curt is the way to go. Do you plan on towing? If so, you will also need wiring and a ball mount. If you want to add a 4-way you can use the Curt # C48ZV or for a 7-way...

Hi Bill; are you talking about a hitch where only the receiver is visible at the rear like the # C22HR for the Pilot? This is the same hitch pictured below. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C69RJ is confirmed to fit your 2026 Honda Passport RTL and has the same design style. The cross tube on this hitch will sit behind your bumper. The only thing hanging down at the rear will be the receiver tube. What are you planning on using the hitch for?

    • Comparing Curt C22HR And etrailer e27KR Hitches For The 2025 Honda Pilot
Hello Chuck, thanks for reaching out. We do carry two hitches for the 2025 Honda Pilot, the Curt # C22HR and the etrailer # e27KR. Both hitches are structurally identical since our etrailer brand is actually manufactured by Curt. The only noteworthy difference is our etrailer hitch uses a matte black powder coating, while the Curt hitch is a gloss black. We went with the matte black because we found it is better at resisting scuffs, scratches and chips. It also usually blends better with...

    • Best Trailer Hitch For 2025 Acura MDX For Using Bike Rack
Hey there Sergey, The best trailer hitch for your 2025 Acura MDX to carry a bike rack is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C22HR. To add a hitch to your 2023 Acura MDX, I recommend the etrailer Hitch item # e27KR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Acura with included hardware. I really like this hitch because the cross tube installs behind your rear bumper cover. This leaves only the 2" x 2" receiver visible. • Will Curt Class III C22HR Hitch for 2022 Acura MDX Interfere with Hands-Free Liftgate Feature
Curt Manufacturing lists the # C22HR Class III hitch as a fit for all models of the 2022 Acura MDX. Installation will not require removing the bumper cover. If your spare tire is mounted to a wheel larger than 18 inches in diameter, the spare will no longer fit under the vehicle with the hitch installed. • Is Mounting Bracket Needed For Curt 4-Way on 2024 Honda Pilot
Thanks for the purchases Cathy, and the quick answer is nope, a mounting bracket is not needed at all for your 2024 Honda Pilot for the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C48ZV. Pretty simple reason why is the # C48ZV will actually mount right in the rear storage area/hatch of your '24 Pilot and you'll only take it out of there when you want to use the 4-way. I like the fact it stores in the hitch because the 4-way will stay cleaner and won't get...

    • Choosing the Best Trailer Hitch for a 2023 Acura MDX
The difference between the Draw-Tite # DT42MR and the etrailer # e27KR and Curt # C22HR trailer hitches for your 2023 Acura MDX is actually the amount of rear clearance as opposed to ground clearance. Ground clearance is the same between these hitches but the Draw-Tite juts out a little more with the design which is why there is some fascia trimming. Because of this I recommend going with the etrailer because it has the same design as the Curt (no fascia trimming) but it also has a matte...

They are both custom fit receivers manufactured by Curt for your 2023 Acura MDX. We selected Curt to manufacture our receivers based on their quality and having a made in the USA product. The Curt hitch part # C22HR that fits your 2024 Honda Pilot Elite can still allow your hands free liftgate to function but you would need to relocate the sensor and then kick to either side of the hitch opening. • Draw-Tite or Curt Hitch Receiver for 2022 Acura MDX
I would be happy to help you. The difference in the installation time between the two hitch receiver's on your 2022 Acura MDX is that the Curt item # C22HR sits lower when mounted so it does not requiring trimming of the rear bumper cover. The Draw-TIte item # DT42MR sits higher after installation which requires you to cut a 4" x 3.5" section of your rear bumper cover out. While we have not personally tested the hands free liftgate on a 2025 Honda Pilot Touring we have received reviews on the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C22HR that it was still operational.
