Question:

Hello, I am looking at a hitch for an Acura MDX. You offer three E-trailer, Curt and DrawTite. I like E-trailer or Curt best, your thoughts?

Hey Mark, congrats on the new SUV! The best hitch for your 2026 Acura MDX, is going to be our etrailer item # e27KR. This custom fit class III hitch has a 2" receiver, which will provide you with 6,000 lbs towing and 900 lbs tongue weight capacities. It'll be great for towing a trailer or hauling an accessory like a bike rack or cargo carrier.

The reason our etrailer Hitch item # e27KR is the best option is because of how it's going to look once you get it installed. The entire crosstube is going to be concealed by your rear bumper leaving only the 2" receiver and safety chain loops exposed. This not only looks better but helps with ground clearance. The matte finish not only offers superior rust and scratch protection over the Curt item # C22HR it also blends in better beneath your Acura's rear trim.

I attached a couple of pictures below and linked an installation video we made so you can see what the etrailer hitch item # e27KR looks like installed and how to get it set up.

What do you plan on using your new hitch for?

Thanks, I did order the e27kr. Will use mostly for a bike rack.

@MarkH You're welcome! I did see that. Our etrailer item # e27KR is going to work great with a bike rack. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

This hitch has worked out well for me. I have used for a bike rack and a cargo platform so far. It was a bit of a challenge to install by myself on my 2015 Pilot. Heavy and awkward on a garage floor. I do recommend having a helper close by. It will definitely make it easier. Good luck.
