What Size Drill Bit is Needed to Attach Lippert Scissor Stabilizer Jacks with Included Hardware
Published 09/03/2021 >
Question:
My Lippert Stabilizing Jacks today only Question I have is what diameter drill bit do I use. I notice that the supplied bolts are self tapping and I really do not want to over drill. Better to ask the stupid question that no one else has.

The Lippert Scissor Stabilizer Jacks with Handle - 30" Lift - 10,000 lbs - Qty 2 # LC285344 comes with #14 self tapping screws, which have a diameter of about .20", so you'll want to use something like a 1/8" drill bit if you're not using the existing holes in the frame. If you've got something smaller than that it might work but I'd be worried about breaking the bit off drilling into a solid steel frame, so proceed with caution if you're going that route.
