The Demco Recon 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Single Jaw - 21,000lbs # DM8550045-5W is a standard 5th wheel hitch while the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter - Single Jaw - 21,000lbs Item # DM8550045 is a "Gooseneck" to 5th wheel trailer hitch. If your truck has a gooseneck hitch in the bed the # DM8550045 will allow you to hook up to it instead of having to install a different rail or puck system in your truck like the # DM8550045-5W would require.

You will have to go with a sliding hitch to allow the trailer to make tight turns. For a trailer 8 feet wide the only bed length that's going to allow 90 degree turns without a slider is a stationary hitch. That being said you have two options.…
