What are the base plate dimensions? I am trying to see the amount of available space around the fifth wheel for boxes and cargo.

Hey Doug, welcome back! The base of the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter for Recessed Ball item # DM93YV measures 22" long by 22" wide. This 5th wheel hitch is designed for aluminum flat bed trucks that have a recessed gooseneck well measuring no more than 20" x 20".
Please note that your truck's gooseneck well must be larger than 14" long x 14" wide and the top of your 2-5/16" gooseneck ball can be now lower than 1-5/8" below the deck surface. It will not work with high rise gooseneck balls. This ensures the proper clearances and a secure connection.

Thank you for the measurements Jerred! This is for a customer's Ram 3500 with a CM Bed with a recessed ball. We are adding low profile boxes around the bed as well as a aux fuel tank against the cab.
