Hey Im looking for a goosenecn to fifth wheel adapter I saw you guys have one DM8550046 I was having a hard time seeing how it connects. Does it just slide over any gooseneck ball? Or do I need a certain set up to make this work? Thanks in advance!

The Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # DM8550046 is designed for a recessed gooseneck ball. The recessed 2-5/16" hitch ball must be at least 3/4" from the top of the bed to fit in the hitch. The base frame for the Recon is 22"x22" and must be supported by the bed. If your hitch cutout is larger than the frame size it will not work on your vehicle.
We do have the Demco Recon 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM8550045-5W as well. This particular hitch is designed for a typical gooseneck hitch in a factory truck bed.
Both these hitches slide over the gooseneck ball and have a pin that allows you to secure it to the ball. There is then a hex bolt on top of the mounting tube that allows you to tighten the hitch down to the ball removing excess play and holding the hitch in place.
