What is 18 Inch Spare Referring to on Curt Trailer Hitch For 2022 Acura MDX

Question:

The 2022 Acura MDX comes with a spare that is not full-size, but is definitely larger than 18. It was a little tough to measure but probably about 24. Are you sure that this hitch receiver wont fit with that spare in place? I ask because it seems strange that your product info would reference an 18 inch spare which does not exist.

So the 18 inches that is being referred to here is actually the diameter of the wheel/rim, as opposed to the diameter of the actual tire itself. I know that can be confusing but for whatever reason that's how manufacturers define it, so what you'll want to do is measure the diameter of the wheel on your 2022 Acura MDX, and I'm guessing, based on your 24 inch measurement of the tire, you very likely have an 18 inch or or smaller diameter wheel.

If so, you will be able to leave the spare where it is on your '22 MDX and install the Curt trailer hitch that fits, which is the following part:
