This hitch is built for everyday towing and hauling. With a maximum gross trailer weight of 6,000 lbs and a tongue weight limit of 900 lbs, it’s strong enough for utility trailers, small campers, and cargo carriers. When paired with a weight distribution setup, capacity jumps to 8,000 lbs GTW while keeping the same 900 lbs tongue weight. It’s a solid all-around option for bikes, gear, and weekend hauling.
The cross tube tucks up under the vehicle so only the square 2" receiver opening is visible. The concealed design gives it an OE-style appearance that blends in rather than hanging below the bumper. If you care about keeping a clean, factory-like look while still adding serious utility, this setup does it right.
Everything about the construction is made for strength and durability. Precision robotic welding ensures consistent alignment and maximum structural integrity, while the steel is co-cured inside and out with a rust-resistant liquid A-coat. A gloss black powder coat finish adds extra protection against corrosion and keeps the hitch looking sharp over time.
The hitch bolts directly to existing points on the frame using included mounting hardware—no cutting or welding required. The open-back receiver makes cleaning out road grit easy after heavy use. This is confirmed to fit the 2024 MDX. It sounds like the hitch is flexed, which can happen during shipping. Check out the help article below which explains how to flex it back into position.

I should have also done the flat four electrical connection in my 2025 Honda Pilot since it was so easy! The hitch still is awesome! I did get the Honda brand rubber hitch cap from my local Honda dealer.
