Troubleshooting RAM 3500lb Electric Jack Not Extending With Switch Or Hand Crank
Updated 05/07/2021 | Published 05/06/2021 >
Question:
The motor works but the jack will not extend. I tried it manually and it will not work. It spins when attempting to extend both electrically and manually. Any ideas?

It sounds like the gear inside of the Electric Jack w/ Footplate - A-Frame - 25-1/8" Lift - 3.5K - Black # EJ-3520-BBX you have is stripped causing it to not engage when trying to extend the jack.
As a temporary fix you can try to have someone pull down on the foot of the jack while attempting to extend the jack, but you will need to replace the jack with another # EJ-3520-BBX to fix the issue completely as there is not a rebuild kit available for the jack.
I included a video of the # EJ-3520-BBX for you to take a look at.
