Question:

My trailer has a single bar with coupler as opposed to an A frame with coupler on the nose. Is there any sort of weight distributing, load leveling attachment for that?

There sure is!

What you will need is a pole tongue adapter like the Pole-Tongue Adapter for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems - 14,000 lbs GTW, 1,400 lbs TW # EQ95-01-5950 which will allow you to use a Equal-i-zer or Fastway e2 weight distribution system.

To find the correct weight distribution system you will need to determine the total tongue weight of your setup which is the tongue weight of your fully loaded and ready to tow trailer plus the weight of any cargo added behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. The easiest way to get an accurate tongue weight measurement is with a tongue weight scale like the # e99044 but there are other methods which are outlined in the included help article.

If your total tongue weight is between 400-800lbs I recommend the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Trunnion - 8,000 lbs GTW, 800 lbs TW # FA92-00-0800 which is a fantastic system for the money due to the quality of the components, and the built in 2-point sway control that helps to keep your trailer going straight down the highway. This system does not included a hitch ball so you will need 2" hitch ball # A-90 or 2-5/16" hitch ball # 19286 to match the coupler on your trailer.

If your total tongue weight is over the 800lb maximum of the # FA92-00-0800 you will need to step up to the # FA92-00-1000 which works with total tongue weights ranging from 600-1000lbs and will still need the 2" # A-90 or 2-5/16" # 19286 to match the coupler of your trailer.
