Question:

Is this heavy duty enough to stop the side to side and up and down movement of my carrier when my motorcycle is on it? Roughly 300 lbs total tongue weight.

The Draw-Tite QSP Trailer Hitch Silencer and Cover for 2" Hitch Receivers # 63080 is not the heavy-duty anti-rattle stability holder for the weight of a motorcycle carrier. For that kind of stabilization, you are seeking, I recommend the Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer II - 2" Hitches # BX88224 which will give you stability and support both vertically and horizontally. This is what I'd want to use for my motorcycle.

If you want something a little more subtle that will also help stabilize both the side to side and vertical movement, then a more economical option is the Gen-Y Anti-Rattle Clamp for 2" Hitch Receivers # GY88XR which will be a little more difficult to install but will give you great support when used with a carrier like # UF48-979033.
