These HappiJac tie-downs create solid anchor points that hold your camper steady through every mile. The custom front support braces mount to the truck’s frame under the bed, while the rear anchors secure to the bumper. Together they distribute weight evenly and keep the camper from shifting front to back. That balance means a more stable and comfortable ride, even when the road gets rough.
When your camper’s off, these tie-downs practically disappear. The front braces tuck completely out of sight, and the chrome-plated rear anchors sit subtly on the bumper. Each coupler twists out with a simple quarter-turn so you’re left with a clean, factory look. No bulky brackets hanging down or ruining the lines of your truck.

Long drives and tough terrain are no problem for these heavy-duty steel tie-downs. The powder-coated braces and chrome-plated anchors resist rust and corrosion, so they hold up to rain, salt, and gravel roads without breaking down. It’s a setup built to handle real-world conditions trip after trip.
By tying in at all four corners, this system keeps your camper tight to the bed instead of perched above it. The design reduces sway and prevents leverage forces that can stress your truck or loosen mounts over time. Everything works together so your camper feels like part of the truck, not just cargo sitting on top.

Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael, with eTrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the HappiJac's anchored tie downs for your truck bed campers. This kit is going to allow you to set up your Ford to get it equipped to haul a sliding camper. It's going to provide the attachment points that you need to secure all four corners of the camper to the truck, so that you're not getting any of that side-to-side, front-to-back, or up-and-down motion. It's going to make for a much smoother ride, and you're going to be able to rest assured that your camper is connected securely to your truck. This is a custom fit for many of your 1997 through 2004 Ford F150, and F250 trucks. I would encourage you to check with the guide on the product page to make sure that it's going to work for you.
We have a more detailed list there, of all the different makes and models, and how it interacts with different packages. You are going to get four tie down couplers, two support brackets, and all the installation hardware that you need, as well as the instructions, so that you can get it all installed. Your front support brackets are going to attach to your truck's crossmember, for added strength. It's not going to be attached to the bottom of your bed, it's actually going to mount to a more permanent fixture to your truck, to give it more support. The rear anchors are going to install on the end of your truck's bumper, again giving you the four corners to tie your camper down to.This is made out of steel, so it's going to hold up well. It's going to be very durable, you're not going to have to worry about it breaking or anything.
It is made here in the USA, and it comes with a one-year warranty from HappiJac.Now, when you're looking at this, it's important to think about how you're going to attach your camper to your tie downs. If you don't already have an option, HappiJac does have two different styles of turn buckles. These are very simple devices. One hook is going to attach to your camper, the other hook is going to attach to your tie downs, and the turnbuckle is going to allow it to spin independently so you can tighten it down. This is the original turnbuckle from HappiJac.
You can find it here at eTrailer, using part number LC182898, or they also have this quick-load, which is essentially the same thing, except that you have this head that can pivot, remove the pin here, so you can quickly tighten or loosen to get the turnbuckle installed. You can leave the hook end screwed into the point that you need, and then all you have to do is use the handle there to get it installed. This can be found here at eTrailer.com using part number LC182895.Again, just another couple of options for you when deciding on how to get your camper attached to your truck. That's going to complete our look at the HappiJac anchored tie downs for truck bed campers.
