You want the best, because there can be only one. But the best depends on what you're using it for or what appeals to you.
Basically, I've narrowed it down to two options. The best for actual use is the etrailer Hitch # e98844 because if you're using the hitch to tow a trailer it has a higher capacity than the other and it can be used with weight distribution which is good because you never know when that need could arise. Also, if you're going to be using the hitch for accessories like a bike rack or cargo carrier, the hitch pin hole is only about a 1/4 inch under the rear bumper so you'll have more clearance than with the other hitches. This hitch is almost identical to the Curt # C13200 with all of the same attributes mentioned above. The only two differences that bumped the # e98844 to the first place spot is that the etrailer has a more attractive matte black finish, which may or may not look better to you. But the # e98844 does all of this with a lower price than the Curt # C13200. Which is a win in everyone's opinion!
The only real downside to this hitch is the way it looks. Your Highlander is new, and it looks nice. I'm sure you'd like to keep it that way. If this is a dealbreaker for you, then my recommendation changes to the EcoHitch # 306-X7250. This hitch installs so that the cross tube is completely behind the rear bumper. So all you see is the receiver tube sticking out under the bumper. It's a much nicer, cleaner look. This hitch has plenty of capacity for your Highalnder but it's not rated for a weight distribution system so that isn't an option. The hitch pin hole is about an inch under the bumper, which is better than some of the other hitches but not as good as the etrailer hitch. This comes at a higher price and has a few more steps to install.
As long as the pin hole clearance is enough and you are never going to use a weight distribution system the # 306-X7250 is the best option if appearance is your deal breaker. But if either of these two things aren't the case then go with # e98844.
