Couldn't be happier with my purchase. I had it installed at U-haul and have been towing a Kuat 3 bike rack assembly. Was initially wary that the receiver would throw off the weight balance on my car, especially when driving through snowy conditions and on snow (I live in the Pacific North West and drive through a mountain pass to get to my local ski resort every weekend), but that hasn't been an issue so far.
Very simple to install. I did in my driveway without dropping spare. Had a little help holding up side while installing bolts on other rail. Only tough bolt to put in was one right above muffler. Very happy with the way it fits and looks. Highly recommend

I am very pleased with my purchase.The etrailer hitch is a perfect fit for my 2015 Toyota Highlander. This company went above and beyond to assist me with finding a location to install it.
New hitch looks great and was easy to install. Instructions were easy to follow. I backed my Highlander up on ramps for easy access to install. I used a DeWalt oscillating multi-tool to cut the plastic undercarriage guards - worked great and fit perfectly around the new hitch once it was reinstalled.
Perfect fit. Easy to install. Only challenge was finding the bolts and instructions. Lol. Didn’t know that they were hiding inside taped hitch.
This was a great purchase. Easy to install, the video was super helpful and the instruction manual made it very applicable for my friend and I. I excited to have this hitch and use it for years to come.
This is the second trailer hitch I have purchased from eTrailer and this one is just as good as the last. Installation was relatively easy, the video and written instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I will only be using it to cary a bike rack but the next owner of this vehicle may appreciate the already installed hitch.
Highest rated capacity for weight. Good instructions, easy installation and looks good. Receiver may be a little low for towing and the OEM looks like it would mount higher but at twice the cost and would need new rear fascia so I opted for this model and a kick up hitch ball assembly to correct the elevation difference.

I just received the trailer hitch about 2 hours ago have not started installing it but after watching the video I believe it's going to be very easy to install and I believe I'm going to be very happy the trailer hitch is extra heavy duty way more than I need I think

Easy to install with included instructions and videos. Now I can attach my bike rack and take my e-bike to more places.
I haven’t used the hitch yet but I know it will work fine and looks great. My wife was afraid it would stick out and look bad on my 2019 Highlander but you can see in the pictures it barely passes the bumper.
The hitch had a get small scratches that I covered with flat black rust oleum and it matched great. After looking at the pictures of installed flat 4 prong plug I didn’t like the metal strap so I drilled and taped 1/4 28 threads in the hitch. I think it looks much better. I put silicone around all the screws and bolts. ( You do need to put the flat 4 prong in before you install the screws and that’s probably the hardest thing about this.) I ran the wire to a rubber plug in the left rear floor. You push the plug up in the hole after you install and mount the 4 prong. The 4 prong will not go through the hole. I used a floor Jack to raise one side of the hitch while in put screws in the other side then went to the other side and put those screws in. I did have trouble getting the last screw in no matter which side I tried. I finally used A little persuasion and got it in. I’m 76 years old and it’s not too hard, I did it all by myself. I did have to wait awhile to finish Wiring it up because the wiring comes in 2 pieces but the box I got didn’t have the part with the flat 4 prong plug. The box was sealed from the factory so it wasn’t etrailer’s fault. Just call them and sent a picture and they sent a new box. Great costumer service.

I’ve had the hitch on my 2019 Highlander for a year now and it has held up great. No rust at all except where you slid the ball in and thats to be expected. If i needed another hitch i would get this one again. It looks great, does what it’s supposed to and all at a great price.
It took me about three hours to fully install the hitch. The hitch itself took me about an hour (including getting all the tools). It was a little harder installing it from the garage floor. A note for anyone using a floor jack like I did; they should be sure to remove the spare tire and secure the hitch to the jack before lifting. The hitch fit perfectly and it wasn't as hard as a person would think. The time consuming part was cutting the plastic and re-installing it. I'm 73 years old and that should say it all. I will recommend etrailer.com to others. Thanks for the great product!

Still working like new!
As someone with little experience working on vehicles (changing tires, oil, and brakes), I found the hitch extremely easy to install. I did so on flat ground with no lift or ramps. The instructions were easy to follow. We have attached a luggage rack to the hitch and traveled a few thousand miles with no issues of any kind. I have also used the hitch to pull the vehicle out of soft ground with no issues. I certainly recommend this product to others.
Fit perfectly and was super easy to install. It has hauled trailers, cargo carriers, and bike racks without issue. I would Highly recommend this hitch.
Hitch installed quickly and was better design then the factory original. I had to make a small cut to a plastic shroud. Has worked great for towing a boat and trailer.
Very easy and straightforward installation. The hitch took one and a half hours start to finish. That included getting the tools and the clean up after I was finished. I also did the install alone.
The initial installation of the hitch receiver was an issue. The mounting plates were found to not match the mounting holes on the 2019 Toyota Highlander where it was to be installed. A large expansion clamp was required to spread the hitch receiver to properly align the mounting plate holes to the vehicle mounting bolt holes. A less mechanically inclined/prepared person would not have been able to complete the installation and would have had to send the product back. The shipping box was lightly damaged but not significantly enough to make me believe that the hitch receiver was damaged during shipment. I expect this was a manufacturing defect.
Last note, I often re-coat the hitch receiver with flat black spray paint as it has shown rust in a few spots over time. Not a huge issue, just something to be aware of. I do live in Indianapolis, Indiana for reference where roads are salted during the winter.

I’m still loving my hitch. Even with my arthritic hands it is easy to slide the bike rack into the receiver hitch.
Arrived quickly. Installed it on 2019 highlander. Super easy, just followed the directions took maybe 1-2 hours and I’m not a mechanic. Just make sure you have a torque wrench and some socket extensions to get around the exhaust
The hitch is very rugged the installation was alittle challenging, but everything fit as expected and I am very satisfied.
I am extremely pleased with this hitch. Not only does it perform as it should, it looks significantly better than other options I've seen installed on other like vehicles. That includes the OEM version for the 2018 Highlander! It is tight and clean looking without drawing attention to itself. The installation was done quickly and professionally by eTrailer. I would highly recommend this product.
