Which front mount hitch does this truck take ?

Expert Reply:
If your 2000 Chevy is a C/K series then you will want to use part # 31042 for Curt or part # 65005 for Draw-Tite but if your truck is the Silverado version then you will want to use part # 31108 for Curt or part # 65028 for Draw-Tite.
All of the above trailer hitches have a 2" receiver tube opening with a vertical line pull rating of 9,000 lbs and a vertical load rating of 500 lbs.
I have attached an installation video of the Curt Silverado hitch installed on a similar 2003 Chevy Silverado for reference.
