I have a 2007 Ford Ranger truck/extended cab. I just had the hitch installed at General RV Center and it is called the new e2inch round bar hitch. Several people have now told me that I cannot back up the camper/truck with sway bars? Is this true? Do I have to take the bars off to back up the trailer in a camp site? Thank you.

You made a great choice! The e2 Weight Distribution Hitch, # FA94-00-1000, is a sturdy system that has 2-Point Sway Control and comes with a 10-year warranty. The unique design of this system does allow you to back up without having to disconnect the sway bars.
Don't give your friends a hard time, though. Many weight distribution systems have independent friction sway control devices that do require you to get out of your vehicle and remove the device prior to backing up. Your e2 system, on the other hand, uses dependent 2-point sway control which does not need to be disengaged to drive in reverse. I've attached a couple of articles about weight distribution if you or your friends want more information.
Since you mentioned camping, I have to recommend my favorite camping accessory, the Stake & Grill by Stromberg Carlson, # GR-1522. This makes grilling over a campfire simple. I even use it to heat my coffee pot in the morning. Happy trails!
