  • Back Up Without Disconnecting: System stays engaged in reverse so you can maneuver easily at campsites or driveways.
  • Quick Frame-Mount Setup: Clamp-on L-brackets install 24"–27" from the coupler—no drilling needed and adjustable for 3"–6" trailer frames.
  • Durable, Low-Maintenance Steel Build: Powder-coated finish stands up to weather and friction wear for long-term use.

Features to know about

Tame Trailer Sway on the Highway: 2-Point Sway Control with Steel-on-Steel Friction

Crosswinds and passing semis can make towing stressful, but the Fastway e2 keeps your trailer steady with its built-in sway control. The frame-mounted L-brackets and round spring bars create steel-on-steel friction that resists sway and forces the trailer back in line when gusts hit. It’s the same principle trains use to keep multi-ton cars from swaying. The rigid design keeps your trailer tracking straight and smooth, even when conditions aren’t.

Keep Your Rig Level and Under Control: Weight Distribution from 600 lbs to 1,000 lbs Tongue Weight

When the rear of your tow vehicle sags under load, steering and braking can suffer. This setup transfers tongue weight evenly across axles for a balanced, level ride. With a 10,000 lb gross towing weight capacity and 600–1,000 lb tongue weight range, you can tow to the rated capacity of your hitch while keeping everything stable. The adjustable shank provides up to 5-3/4" rise or 3-1/2" drop for the perfect height match between trailer and tow vehicle.

No-Drill Mounting and Easy Adjustment: Clamp-On L-Brackets and Washer-Tilt Head

Setup is straightforward with clamp-on brackets that adjust anywhere along 3"–6"-tall trailer frames—no drilling required. You can fine-tune the head tilt using stackable washers on the spacer rivet to set just the right amount of spring-bar tension. Once dialed in, you’ll restore control and avoid premature tire wear or that “floating” feel when you hit uneven pavement.

Back Into Tight Spots Without Disconnecting: Full-Range Reversing Capability

Unlike older add-on sway bars that must come off before reversing, the e2’s integrated design lets you back up freely. Whether it’s a crowded campground or a tricky driveway, you can keep the system engaged without stopping to remove parts. The spring bars stay locked in place while still providing sway control and load balance, making setup and maneuvering much simpler.

Built to Last the Long Haul: Heavy-Duty, Corrosion-Resistant Steel Construction

This hitch is built from durable, powder-coated steel that resists corrosion and holds up to years of hauling. The kit includes the head assembly, adjustable shank, spring bars, two sway-control brackets, snap-up lever, spacer rivet and washers, plus all necessary hardware. Combine that with Fastway’s 10-year warranty, and you’ve got a reliable system ready for thousands of safe, steady towing miles.

I was helped by Chelsey S. She spent several minutes describing the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control to me and worked with my shipping request. This Customer Service Rep is the best and the reason I will continue to shop at etrailer

by:

Easy to install ! Watch video and go at it. Installation is easy, double check all measurements. Purchased this for my V nose trailer witch has a very short hitch area, im at 24". Pulling a 20'×8.5' trailer with a 2017 suburban just what i needed. Thanks to everyone at e-trailer ! #GOBLUE

by:

The hitch has worked great for the most part, really stabilizes the trailer. The bolted parts on the hitch move a bit which is annoying but overall I'm very happy with the product

by:

Great value, easy installation. I towed a 10,500# trailer 2100 miles across the country and the hitch performed well!

by:

This product made towing my trailer much more safe and easy to tow. We tow close to our weight limit once our vehicle and trailer are loaded, so having this product really increases my confidence driving such a heavy load. The install took a while but I was able to do it myself, and now hooking it up takes only a few minutes.

by:

This system works great for me. I have a Nissan Frontier and 21 foot TT. If you install this yourself make sure you watch every video and then follow the written instructions provided. You cant go wrong. This leveled my truck out and planted the front wheels firmly back on the ground. One word of warning. If you are parking your trailer on an incline and the truck and trailer aren't level move to a level spot, remove the bars and then back it in. Just makes getting the bars off easier.

by:

Great hitch. Installation was easy and instructions were written in a manner that made sense. Parts are heavy duty. My vehicle /trailer combo pull much nicer now. After the first install it will only add a minute or so to your hitching process to install the spring bars. I also haven’t had to remove the bars to park the trailer even with tight turns.

by:

Box was demolished- not the etrailer box - the fastest box that someone placed inside an etrailer box. Screws and washers missing. Total disappointment. Second order from etrailer- first was great. This was stinks. Site won’t let me add photos - I wouldn’t either- this is poor.

by:

John was very patient and helpful, made me feel confrable as I know nothing about these hitches. He worked diligently making sure I ordered the best set up for my truck and trailer combination including measurements (he told me were and what to measure as I was actually measuring).
I was assured that I was receiving a good price as E trailers "price match" and I purchased a quality hitch assembly at a wonderful price. Free delivery was a great perk and the hitch arrived in a couple days as predicted.
I have a 2003 Excursion Limited 7.3 diesel 4x4 and need to pull a loaded 28ft car trailer. The young weight is over 800 PDS and I want to be confident that it will be safe.

John was an integral part of my purchase and the follow up and technical help is great!
Thanks for all the John W

Product is good - heavy. Instruction book leaves something to desire. Makes reference to Spacer Washers but has no picture of where they go. Not enough pics to understand all parts. Have not used product yet but seems very high quality. BTW delivery was awful! Came 5 days after it was stated to be delivered. Big brown co did awful job. Too bad etrailer can't use FX. They are soooo much better. I won't order anything else because of delivery mess.

The washers act as a fine adjustment for the tilt of the weight distribution head. The more washers added to the stud, the further rearward the head tilts. If you use the provided link, you can see an install/set-up video that will walk you through the process.

by:

What a game changer! Evens the load out and takes the bouncing and swaying out of towing my camper! Easy to add and remove sway bars! Just remember to remove them before backing in on a hard twist if you intend to drop your trailer. It will make that process a lot simpler!

by:

Product arrived very fast and was easy to install per instructions. I am using this on a 27' enclosed snowmobile trailer and using my 2007 Chevy 1/2 ton crew cab to pull it. There is a noticeable difference in how my tow vehicle sits and I feel like I have more control with the high profile trailer. This hitch is very sturdy. Using it is a very fast and simple process. I am happy with the product thus far.

by:

What's not to like. Hitching up is a breeze. It pulls easy with great sway control. I get good gas mileage. I feel very confident when using this hitch.

My hitch is still working great. Easy on. Easy off. Easy towing. I wouldnt use anything else.

by:

Product was exactly has ordered. Instructions were very clear.
I pull a 5000 lbs dry weight toy hauler which I expect to put about 2000 extra pounds of ATV, fuel, water, tools, etc.... on the trailer. My 2018 Chevy 1/2 ton Z71 was rated at 9700 lbs from the factory. My first pull of the trailer was 200 miles with only air bags on the truck. We bounced all the way home with the trailer. After installing the Fastway e2 Wt Dist w Sway Control we no longer have bouncing like before. I did however pull with air in the bags and with NO air in the bags. I feel the truck rode much better with air in the bags, but the best part is I had no bound with or without air in the bags. If I had bough the hitch first I would not have bought the air bags.

by:

I purchased this weight distribution hitch because the chain weight distribution hitch caused too much sway. Once I ordered the hitch from etrailer which came super fast I have had no issues with sway. In my opinion it is the only way to go and if I had known about this set up before purchasing the chain distribution kit I would have ordered it instead. Very happy and you will be to if you have issues with sway.

by:

The pole tongue adapter and Fastway E2 hitch work great together. Instructions are straight forward and easy to follow. I put it together following the basic setup and it didn't need much adjustment. I could recommend this setup for anyone. Our ice castle has a hydralic frame which you can use to hook the spring bars up. It greatly improved the ride, steering and handling of the rig. I also have a set of Air Lift 1000 in the rear (previously ordered from etrailer). They work great in conjunction with this hitch. And further add adjustability to the setup.

by:

I needed a weight distributing hitch to tow a 16' box trailer behind my truck/slide in camper rig, attached with a 48" hitch extension. Initial set up was a breeze. Hitching and unhitching the trailer is straight forward and easy. Weight distribution helps take some of the stress off the trucks suspension and is noticed by reduced suspension air bag pressure. Truth be told, I barely notice the trailer is back there even when loaded with two quad atv's, an Indian Roadmaster and support equipment.

by:

This is a great kit for the price. Used this to hitch up my '17 GMC Sierra to my '13 20ft Prowler RBS. Instructions for set-up are clear and simple to understand. First test drive saw noticeable improvement on sway from cross-winds. The RV was not as "twitchy" going down the road at speed(60+MPH). Several long haul trips along the Texas coast almost always have a steady gulf breeze, and this kit helps calm my nerves when towing in the wind.

Only drawback I didn't like was the trailer brackets had to be set to the bottom holes to reach the load bars. It causes low ground clearance (never scraped pavement yet) and sometimes tough to get the loading cheater leverage bar engaged because the handle hits the ground.

by:

Most everything was just like it should be, but the 2 bolts that hold the head to the shank could not hold up to the torque required and at about 75 lbs shy the bolts twisted, stretched, and were no longer usable. I had to go source 2 new bolts to complete the installation.

by:

So far the hitch works as advertised. It is well worth the money and makes towing a larger camper MUCH easier. The sway bars are not hard to place or remove. For the price I would buy it again.

We have had the weight distribution hitch for one camping season and it worked great. Weve pulled a 6k camper across the state multiple times without issue. Once in place the system is very easy to use and only takes a minimal amount of time to get everything hooked up and on the road. I appreciate the fact that you can back up and turn without having to disengage the sway bars. The system seems like it will continue to do its job for years to come. This is the best priced system out there that gets the job done.

by:

This was the best decision regarding towing I could have made. Prior to install my 6500lb boat and tandem trailer was just a bit “Squirrley” and interstate speeds were limited to Under 70mph towing with my 2016 Ram 1500 crew 5 liter hemi.
After moderately simple instal my highway speeds are 75-80mpg, rock solid, and less stressful. I am very, very happy with this product!

Exceeds expectations. The best investment thus far. We were limited to 65mph and had to constantly “hand fly” and correct for every bump and gust of wind. Now we are more relaxed operators running with the rest at 75-80mph, rock solid.

When I received the item the original box and styrofoam were absolutely shredded and dumped into a larger box. I was pretty nervous that I would be missing items but, luckily, everything was in the box and the instructions were clear. It took a while for me to install because I had to buy a ball with a 1" shank (you need a special socket if you want to use a 1 1/4" shank ball which can only be purchased via etrailer which I think is a little shady), but at least the adapter for a 1" ball was in the parts bag. I also had to move an electrical line and the propane tanks which was a hassle, but that has more to do with the design of my trailer than anything else (2021 Hearltand Mallard M27).

The thin walled socket part # EQ70-00-4800 will make it easier to install the hitch ball onto the head of the weight distribution system.

I have no complaints. I took my trailer on quite a few trips last summer and even traveled on days with winds at 20 mph and did not feel any sway. I feel like the hitch takes a lot of the bounce out of bumps and saddles in the road, The hitch and sway control were fairly simple to set up with two people I think it took us an hour or so. The most important thing to consider when installing this yourself is to follow the directions and be sure that you have large enough sockets and wrenches.

by:

Talked to etrailer an the manufacturer both before putrchasing this hitch and both were excellent in helping me to determine if this one was suitable for my application.Due to my Kiefer 3 horse slant trailer frame's design and Kiefer wanting no holes drilled in the frame Fastway's rep helped me with a plan to over come the design by boxing in the angle frame with another section of angle and (using longer bolts in the brackets of the proper grade due to the frame's width) where these hitch brackets were to be installed .Installing these brackets was very quick and easy with the detailed installation directions that came with the hitch.Still need to finish the setup of the hitch with horses and tack loaded but see no problems with the detailed instructions received with the hitch and if any problems I feel confident etrailer or Fastway will give me any help I would need. The shipping was fast and the customer service has been top notch from both etrailer and Fastway.
Thanks,

I am very pleased with the products. I used them to haul my 3 horse trailer to Northwest Colorado and back plus on several other occasions and the performance has been excellent . I would definitely recommend them to people. I was very pleased that someone on your staff steered me in the right direction to find what I needed. Your company is one that I would be glad to recommend to anyone. Thanks for the follow up

Finally got a chance to put my equipment on the truck trailer. Then I had a chance to use it and man it was a great experience. I was really impressed With installation and control.

  • Fastway e2 Weight Distribution for 2025 Ford F-150 Towing Enclosed Trailer
Hello again Frank; tongue weight is typically 10-15% of your trailer weight. At 5,400 lbs you could go over the max 800 lb tongue weight of the # FA94-00-0800 but that probably isn't the case here. If you really want to be sure you could always pick up a small scale like the # BTBRV004 or # BTBRV99FR. Assuming you're in that 400-800 lb range this will remove that little bit of sag (sounds like it isn't a concern but it still helps) and cut down on your trailer sway. Regarding the shank,...

  • Recommended Weight Distribution System for 2018 Keystone Summerland 1750RD
The most important thing to consider when picking out a weight distribution system is the total tongue weight of your setup. This number includes the loaded tongue weight of the trailer (as if it's ready for a trip) along with any added cargo weight you might have loaded behind the rear axle of your F-250. Ideally this number falls comfortably within the operating range of the system you choose. Based on my research your 2018 Keystone Summerland 1750RD Trailer does indeed have an empty...

As far as I know this is not a common problem, and not something that we have had reported as an issue for the # FA94-00-1000. It is important to make sure that everything is secure when installing the weight distribution hitch. The spring bars should click into place on the hitch head to where they lock in and will not fall out. I do not know how old/how much use your Fastway system has, but one possibility is that the spring clips need to be replaced. We do have replacement clips available...

That said, if you have a dry tongue weight of 795 lbs, I recommend the part # FA92-00-1200 which is rated for up to 12,000 lbs gross trailer weight or 1,200 lbs tongue weight. Hi Rick; I can definitely help you choose a weight distribution hitch for your setup. To find the right WDH you need to know the tongue weight of your loaded setup. The best way to find it is to use a tongue weight scale like the # e99044. You can also use one of the methods outlined in the article below. The main issue using a weight distribution hitch rated for a higher capacity than needed like the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-1200 is that it can cause a stiff ride. It does not increase towing capacity because that is always limited by your lowest rated component. Generally you want to use tongue weight to drive the selection of a weight distribution system. This will ensure you do not put too much tension on the bars which could cause them to break. You can disengage them by simply removing the L-pins that hold the spring bars to the frame brackets.
