Question:
i have a 96 dodge ram extended cab, 8 ft bed with no existing 7 way wiring. i would like to have a 90 degree 7 w connector just behind the driver wheelbed for my slide in camper, and a 7w in my bumper for a trailer. is there a harness that does this all-in -one? I have a brake controller, and used to have a 4 way but it tore off. Thanks for the assistance.

We have all of the wiring you need for your 1996 Ram, but there is no all-in-one harness available.
First I recommend part # HM40975-11998. This is a 7-pole and 4-pole trailer connector with the bracket and wiring. This will hardwire to the existing wires you have for your 4-way.
You can use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to identify the wires when you are attaching them.
Next, I recommend part # 5506. This is a universal wiring kit for brake controllers. This includes wiring and the breakers needed to complete the wiring for your brake controller.
Finally you need part # 41157. This plugs into the existing wiring and has a 90-degree angle so it can fit in tight spaces.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
