will this work on 02 tundra with factory tow package with 4 way

Since the Hopkins 7 and 4-Way trailer connector # HM40975-11998 includes a hardwire harness it technically could be installed on any vehicle, including your 2002 Toyota Tundra with a 4-Way connector. But you will need to do some hardwiring and extra parts would still be needed so to make it more simple I recommend # ETBC7.

With the ETBC7 all you will do is plug the 4-Way into it and then hardwire the remaining 4 wires. White is ground, attaches to truck frame, purple is reverse lights (if not needed you can tape it up and stow it out of the way), black is for 12 volt power, and blue is output to trailer brakes. The ETBC7 does have both a 7-Way and a 4-Way.

The kit also comes with extra wire, circuit breakers, and other accessories for installation. If you are going to be using a brake controller I recommend the P2, # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation for you.
