Duplex Brake Wire is made with two plastic insulated primary wires laid parallel and covered with a high quality plastic jacket, protecting the insulated conductors. Each conductor is color coded for easy identification. Meets SAE J1128 Specifications, for use with 50 volts or less.

Today, we're going to review part number 12-2-1. This is the Deka Jacketed 12 Gauge 2 Wire Brake Wire. This is sold per foot. This duplex brake wire is made with 2 plastic insulated primary wires right here. You can see it at the end. They are laid parallel and they are covered with this high quality plastic jacket which protects the insulated conductors.
Now each conductor is color coated. You can see black and white. Usually when this is used on brake applications, the black would be your power, the white would be your ground. It gives nice, easy identification. This is designed for use with 50 volts or less. Now each wire gauge is a 12 gauge measurement and this wire is sold per foot.
As you can see right here, I do have 1 foot pulled off but you can order as many feet as you'd like. That should do it for the review on part number 12-2-1. This is the Deka Jacketed 12 Gauge 2 Wire Brake Wire sold per foot. .

Just started to install the new brake assembly on the trailer and so far so good. The product is of good quality. The only problem so far is the brake wire you sent is larger than the wire that was on the trailer and now I am going to have to find larger scotch lock connectors to fit the wire. The shipping was real good and fast. Will order from you again when I need anything for the trailer, thanks again Ray
I did not use this wire for a trailer but I did use it to run power from my trucks battery through the engine bay under the cab and into a vent on the back of the cab for a ham radio. The jacket is tougher than I expected, wire soldered great. Great value.
This is high-quality 12-gauge stranded wire of a size appropriate for single-axle trailer brakes, though it only carries the current for one magnet (over from the other side). That other side uses the 10-gauge size of this wire up to the tow vehicle plug. This wire has a high-quality outer protective sheathing to resist abrasion and weathering. Remember to solder and weatherproof all your splices! Wire nuts or Scotch-Locs are not appropriate for use in trailer brakes systems!
Excellent quality and strength. Why skimp on something as important as your hitch? I have purchased three of these Draw Tites - I guess a repeat customer will scream about the true quality a company can garner from repeat customers. When you pull show cars worth six figures, you can't afford a poorly made hitch.

I wanted a jacketed wiring for a snowmobile trailer brakes to protect from the elements. Initially thought it was a little expensive, however it's a quality product and I appreciate being able to buy it by the foot.

Used this cable to run power from a voltage reducer to an LED light bar on a 48V golf cart. Fit the bill of what I needed, looks to be good jacket, insulation and wire quality. Installed about 10 months ago and no issues.
It is so nice to have wire that I know will be heavy enough and durable enough to actuate brakes to stop a tilt bed trailer with a tracked bobcat and accessories, about 11K pounds. The weenie wire that it replaced made me nervous every time I took the trailer out. Works well. I actually extended it to the second axle and capped it off to use on a future set of brakes for that axle (which I will certainly get from etrailer!)
The wire was awesome to use to wire my trailer tail lights with.

The wire was installed on a 1960 TourAHome and is working well under the trailer, I have not noticed any weathering of the wiring jacket. I still have some in stock for future use.
I needed to retrofit my twp axel trailer to get it state inspected. I bought everything I needed from etrailer. I love one stop shopping! I was very pleased with the delivery time and the high quality of parts I bought. The brakes work like a charm. The only thing that I would suggest for the company is to recommend break away automatic braking device when selling these brakes. It was required by law in Pa and I had to buy an automatic brake locally.
I would do business with these folks any day. I highly recommend.
etrailer has been my “go to” for a few years now. Communication is always a top priority and their customer service is second to none! Regarding this Echo, I use it all the time when pulling with our 2019 Subaru Accent and often use it on other vehicles that have older/delayed brake controllers.

Used this wire to go from front of vehicle to rear, one conductor for the 12-Volt power, the other for the electric brake control.

I use one wire for 12-Vdc and do not use the second wire in the cable. I am using the Curt 7-way Bluetooth controller instead of a cabin mounted controller.

This wiring has held up phenomenally over the past year of installation. I have been underneath the vehicle changing parts and have inspected the insulation jacket while there. Everything looks as good as the day I installed it after a full year of use in Central New York weather. Would highly recommend.

Two years in and the wiring has been switched through three different vehicles and still holding up phenomenally! It was really worth its weight!
I Used this cable to connect the electric brakes to the 7 way connector on my trailer. The wires were all color-coded for easy identification.

This cable is durable with a strong outer jacket.
Helped in rewiring the trailer, replaced all the wiring instead of chasing broken wires.

Forst of all,I received all items on time, and the packaging was undamaged as were the contents. The rims were exactly as I had hoped and I've already had the tires mounted on them. The electric brake wire looks great as well and will be perfect for my project.

The wire is working perfectly!
Great so far. Replaced 3500 lb in-axle wire, which was shredded. Super great voltage (2.98v) to each passenger-side (farthest) brake assemblies.
