Your video shows an Edge Titanium along with the modifications to the underside splash shields, does the Sport version match those modifications or will it require further cutting? Also you recommend the 2inch receiver over the 1-1/4inch for accessories, my plan is to only pull a light weight flat bottom boat - trailer combo less than a 1000 lbs, I want the hitch to be as unobtrusive to the look of the car when not in use. Do you have any other objections to the 1-1/4inch receiver other than accessories?

The 1-1/4 inch hitch receivers have a lower tongue weight strength and lower towing capacity. If you want the less obstructed view and are only going to be using it for a singular small boat application, I recommend going with the smaller hitch. If you think that you could use it for other applications, I then recommend going with the 2 inch hitch receiver.
If you choose to go with the 1-1/4 inch Curt Class II Round Tube Hitch # C12140 for your 2015 Ford Edge Sport, it is a confirmed fit. The trimming of the underbody panel will be required as you mentioned and the exhauset will need to be temporarily lowered. The hands-free liftgate sensor areas will be limited to areas away from the center where hitch receiver opening is located, but the sensors will will still allow you to use this feature in those other areas. For this hitch, I recommend the Curt Class II Drawbar - 2-5/8" Rise, 3-1/4" Drop - 7-1/4" Long - 3,500 lbs, # C45521 along with a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball like # A-80 or a 2 inch ball like # A-82. You will also need a hitch pin and clip like # F-4 or a locking pin like the Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 1-1/4" Hitches # e98879.
For your vehicle wiring to tow a trailer, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, # 118677. This is a simple plug connector to your factory wires behind each tail light and then a power wire run to your battery. This will protect your wiring from overloading the vehicle's electrical system. This will give you the functionality you need for a small trailer.
