For your 2007 Ford Ranger, I'd recommend the Curt Class III hitch, part # 13019. This hitch is reasonably priced, but still provides a full 4000 lb towing capacity/ 400 lb tongue weight capacity.
The Curt Class 3 hitch part # 13088 is a fit for the 1997-2003 Infiniti QX4 or the 1996-2004 Nissan Pathfinder. It would unfortunately not be a fit for your 2007 Ranger. If you need a ball mount, I'd recommend the Curt # C45030 and for a trailer ball, part # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.
