Powder coated steel is sturdy and corrosion resistant.Having installed more than a dozen trailer hitches throughout my life I can say that this was the easiest to install that I have done! Perfect fit, easy to attach with no issues. The hardest part was removing the J-bolt from the frame, and that wasn't that difficult really. I wish all of the hitches I have installed in the past were this easy! Big plus was how fast I got it, a day earlier that expected.

Robbie - 12/21/2022Fit a 2000 Ford ranger excellently, installation was easy, cardboard shipping box was a bit dinged up but that is due to how the shipping company handles it. No issues after 4 months.
The fit was perfect. Hardware was included and all the bolts lined up easy. Had it installed 25 min.
It does it's job. Towed a pop up camper with my Ford ranger across the country after installing this last year.
I installed this on the front of my 2001 Ranger for using with a Snowbear snowplow. It has worked well for that, but also turned the truck into an invaluable trailer mule. I can now push trailers around when I need to rather than trying to back them into place. If you don't know what I mean, put one of these on the front of your truck and hook a trailer up--you'll see very quickly how handy it is.
This hitch fits my 96 Ford Ranger quite well. As per the instructions, I had to drill two holes in the frame. It fit and it works. I use it quite often to pull a 5 x 10 ft trailer and large zero turn mower.

The hitch installed without a hitch. It took me alone, less than 45 minutes to get it on. Im very happy with my purchase the shipping time and etrailer as a whole. I'm only towing a 10 foot single axel but the stock bumper hitch was already bending my bumper. The new hitch seems very sturdy and will handle my small trailer just fine.

It's great! Works just as it's design to. I use it to haul around my 10' Jon boat with 5.5hp motor. I have no problems with it. Very easy to install. I just bolted it right on.
I got this for my 2005 Ford Ranger. It's just like the hitch they used to put on Rangers as standard equipment. Easy to install once you drop the spare tire. The spare will go back up just fine once you are done. It even fit with an aftermarket dual exhaust system.

Very nice , heavy duty hitch fit my truck perfectly - did not even have to do any drilling . Rigged up a carrier on my Jack and braced my bumper with 2 - 2 ' stepladders, pulled old bolts and lifted hitch into place and bolted on , piece of cake one man operation.
Rick - 06/04/2021Hitch arrived in 3 days. Directions very clear. One hour start to finish as I did it alone with the help of the truck bottle jack. Much faster if 2 people. Perfect fit and spare tire cranks right back into place.
Excellent receiver, easy to install even with having to drill two holes. Only reason I gave a less than excellent review is due to the bolts provided. I would have liked the bolts to be of a higher grade and better manufacture. Bolts made in the USA would have suited me better although the ones provided are of good enough quality for the majority of installations. It only took me about an hour to install the hitch on my 1991 ford ranger and it looks good.

Easy install, great fit and finish. Clear instructions. Did it by myself I'm about an hour, didn't lower the spare tire or use jacks to support the hitch.

Fit perfect, but doesn’t come with bolts, had to pick a couple up along with nuts and washers
George - 05/12/2021 George - 05/12/2021No Drilling required. All of the holes lined up with my 2005 Ranger. I would have had it done in 20 minutes because I was too lazy to lower the spare tire. Took a while to make sure the shims were in place and line everything up with the spare tire in place. The wiring harness on the drivers side was also troublesome. Instead it took 45. Hint: Use a floor jack to lift the hitch in place. You just have to guide it a bit with one hand while you are jacking. No sweat. One person job.
