I would really like to leave a 5-star review but at this point I would have to give it 2-stars simply because of the packaging for shipment. I've ordered 2 receiver hitches from etrailer and they were both so poorly packaged that the hitches had busted through the box on both occasions.
The first time some of the parts were loose in the box, but luckily nothing had escaped and the electrical 5-way plug was miraculously not damaged, so I let the packaging thing slide.
The second time, the hitch had abrasions due to it protruding from the box. When I picked up the box both times I could feel the hitch moving around loosely inside. I couldn't let it slide for a second time, as very poor packaging for shipment seems to be an ongoing problem with etrailer.
It's really a shame to go through the trouble of producing a great product and powder coating it, only to have it arrive at the destination scratched up or damaged due to the poor packaging for shipment. At this point, unfortunately, I couldn't recommend that anyone purchase ANYTHING from etrailer.

Perfect fit. If installing by yourself and you have a step bumper use a ratchet strap to hook each side of bumper, then put strap over tailgate that is in down position to hold step bumper in place while installing 2 inch receiver. Very helpful when doing by yourself.

My Hitch receiver showed up on time which was a plus and I was able to get the unit installed on the ole work truck. It works like champ. I am very happy with the Etrailer hitch, delivery and follow up by etrailer staff. Well done.

This Hitch installed easily and looks and works great on the Ranger!! It helps to have a lift to install but not necessary it can be done with jacks and jackstands.
Went pretty easy. 1/2 hour including drilling holes. 1987 Ford Ranger
It took just half an hour to install and the provided hardware was very good.
Unfortunately we don’t have a lot of need for products etrailer sells, however almost every time we do have the need, we are going to make the purchase from earlier.
They are super easy to work with and go above and beyond in making sure the customer is happy. And, the products they sell are second to none.
I have seen comments about the etrailer packaging of the product being less than adequate. On our recent trailer hitch purchase, the box, delivered by UPS was beat up on both sides, however the hitch did not seem to have a single mark on it, which was surprising since the hitch was not packed very well.
Keep up the great work etrailer.

Our new trailer hitch arrived today and although we haven’t installed it yet, this being like our 6th hitch over the years from etrailer, I have no doubt it will fit perfectly. And if not, knowing etrailer the way I do, I am sure they would do everything in their power to make it right. I have read reviews over the years about the packaging of the hitch and have had concerns in the past after seeing how beat up the box was upon arrival. Never has the hitch actually been damaged, nor scuffed. However, this recent arrival is packed so well, the hitch is fastened to the box and braced within the box, unable to move during shipping. We also enjoy reviewing the detailed how to videos, leaving nothing to chance about how the install should turn out on each particular vehicle. Okay, now I know what I am doing tomorrow and back in business.
I would have given 5 stars but the instructions failed to mention that I needed to cut off the rear tow hook located on the right rear of the frame. Once I removed it the install was easy.

Great I have purchased at least four 2x2 frame hitches and all fit right as did the wire kitswill always use E-trailer
