Kayak Carrier Recommendation For 2015 Toyota RAV4 with Factory Roof Rack

I am looking for a double kayak carrier for my 2015 Rav4. The problem has been my cross bars on my roof rack. The piece that attaches to the cross bars are for square bar and mine is about 3in wide and oval shape where the thickest is the center and its about 1in and thinner on the out side. Can you give me an idea what to use? I looked at the YO4042 and TH830 but my husband doesnt think it will fit the cross bar. We have bought several and have taken them back because they will not fit my cross bar.

For your 2015 Toyota RAV4 with factory crossbars, I recommend the Yakima JayLow Folding J-Style Kayak Carrier # Y04073. It is fairly normal for elliptical and aero crossbars to be 3 inches wide x 1 inch thick. I spoke with my contact at Yakima about the JayLow fitting your factory, 3 inch wide crossbars. Since the JayLow is designed to fit aero, elliptical, and most factory crossbars, this carrier should work well on your crossbars. You would want 2 sets of these carriers to fit 2 kayaks on your RAV4.
Thule's The Stacker # TH830 should also fit on your crossbars. The Stacker is confirmed to fit on Thule's AeroBlade crossbars, which are 3-1/8 inches wide x 1-1/8 inch thick. I see no reason why The Stacker would not fit on your 3 x 1 inch crossbars. This kayak carrier will allow you to carry up to 4 kayaks on their sides. If you do plan on carrying more than one kayak, you will need an additional set of tie downs, as this carrier only comes with enough tie-downs for one kayak. To secure the second kayak, you will want 2 tie-down straps # 753-2030-02, 2 bow/stern tie-down straps # 853-5466, and 2 ratchet with hook # 853-5464.
