Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a brief look at this replacement tie-down strap with buckle for Thule roof mounted watersport carriers. Now, this replacement tie-down load strap and buckle is going to secure your canoe or kayak to your roof rack when you are using a Thule roof mounted watersport carrier. And this is going to fit the rooftop canoe carrier, the Stacker multi-kayak carrier, the Hydro Glide kayak saddles, and the Rollercoaster kayak carrier. And finally, the Set-To-Go kayak saddles.
On your screen, as you can see, I am including the model numbers for those carriers that this will fit. And this is going to tighten with the included buckle to secure your canoe or your kayak to your roof rack. This is made in the USA. And the dimensions, the overall length is gonna be 172 inches long and the overall width is one inch. And I would also recommend taking a look at the buckle protectors that will slide over the buckle to protect your canoe, your kayak or other cargo from scratches and abrasions during transport.
So, on your screen, I do have our item number for those buckle protectors if that is something that you would like to check out. This replacement tie-down load strap and buckle secures your canoe or kayak to your roof rack when you are using a Thule roof-mounted watersport carrier.I purchased this strap as a replacement for the Thule strap I had because the quality of the strap is much better than the off the shelf brands. I'm only replacing it because I cut it too short for the kayak I currently have.
I needed to replace just one tie-down strap for my Thule watersport system but could only find the complete set elsewhere (two straps plus two buckle protectors) for considerably more money. This was exactly what I was looking for and it was priced reasonably.
The Thule straps are rugged and work great to secure kayaks and other loads to my rooftop carrier. An awesome companion is the Thule buckle protector which ensures my car's paint isn't scratched if I inadvertently drop a strap and buckle.
Thule straps are the best (the heavy blue ones). Also picked up the rubber buckle covers with this same order. Everything arrived perfectly. The prices on etrailer for these items were a bargain compared to other sources. I really wanted some additional straps but was pensive as other sources were as much as 3 times the price here.
I purchased these as extra insurance for my kayaks. I have the Thule Stacker and am looking to do two straps per boat, on either side of the Stacker. I don't wanna take any chances!
Work perfect w Thule j racks for kayaks. Super easy to use. I choose the cheapest delievery and it arrived a day early, very timely for the price. But these with confidence.
It's such a great and happy relief that I was able to replace my lost tie down and rubber cover so easily and for a good price too. I highly recommend this seller. Item arrived so quickly I didn't know. Seller gave me the heads up and it made my day to find the package in my mailbox just now.
Replacement strap for my canoe rack. Glad these fail before the rack rips off when the loose strap gets caught under the wheel after launching the canoe. Oops
