  • Does etrailer Powered A-Frame Jack # e55ZV Have Light for Night Cranking/Jacking
Hey Andrew, great question but yes the etrailer Electric Trailer Jack # e55ZV that you referenced does have a really bright LED light that will make it easy to see as you are night jacking/cranking. I also think it's important to have plenty of light when you are really cranking it for safety sake. I attached a picture of the light to give you an idea how well you'd be able to see if you were doing some night cranking/jacking at your friend's campsite.

  • How Does The etrailer Electric Trailer Jack e55ZV Hold Up In Cold Weather?
Hello, and thanks for getting in touch. The etrailer Electric Trailer Jacks # e55ZV and # e23ZV will hold up just fine in cold weather. The housing is designed to be water/weather resistant. It even has a manual backup option if you were to lose power for some reason. The jack actually includes a vinyl cover that goes over the motor and housing. Keeping this cover on the jack as often as possible will undoubtedly increase the lifespan. While I don't necessarily recommend it, I have heard...

  • What Is The Difference Between The Electric Trailer Jack e23ZV And e55ZV?
Hey Stephany, thanks for getting in touch. The only difference between the etrailer Electric Trailer Jack # e23ZV and the # e55ZV is the weight capacity. The # e23ZV has a 3,500 lb capacity, while the # e55ZV has a 5,000 lb capacity. Because of the higher capacity, the # e55ZV does weigh about 1.5 lbs more than the # e23ZV. Aside from that they are the same 18" lift, it really just depends how much capacity you need. Comment below and let me know if you need anything else.

  • Do You Have an Electric Jack Cover that Goes Over Toggles Not Switches, Made by America Works?
Hello Raul, Thank you for the pictures. What happened to your cover, baseball sized hail storm? I tried all my tricks but cannot fully identify the jack, I believe it was made by a company that is no longer in business. All the jacks now a days have switches instead of toggles, so if you were to try to use a cover like the Replacement Cover for etrailer and Ram Electric A-Frame Jacks - White # EJ-3520-CVRW it would not line up. I attached an image so you can see the switches. I am all...

  • How Do I Hook Up Power To The etrailer Electric Trailer Jack e55ZV?
Hello Johnny, thanks for reaching out. The etrailer Electric Trailer Jack # e55ZV runs off 12v power. The jack has 2 wires so red is positive and black is negative. It is intended to be wired directly to a trailer battery. You could attach the wires to a 7-way plug like part # A7WCB if you had to, but running wires to the battery is recommended. That way the jack has its own dedicated power source.

Hey Bobby, thanks for reaching out. The etrailer Electric Trailer Jacks # e23ZV and # e55ZV do indeed have a worklight built in. Take a look at the picture below. There is not a separate wire for the light. As long as you connect the red wire to 12v power and the black wire to ground the light will operate normally. • Troubleshooting Powered etrailer Trailer Jack e55ZV that Stopped Working
Hey Michael, the Electric Trailer Jack # e55ZV that you referenced has an internal 20 amp relay that auto resets and SHOULDN'T be the problem. You mentioned that the jack has power running to it but did you check the black ground wire? Most of the time when there's an issue with a powered jack like this the problem is related to the power or ground wire so if you haven't checked there yet I would recommend so.

  • Is There a Conversion Kit to Operate the etrailer Electric Trailer Jack w/a Dewalt Battery?
No, I am sorry Bob there is no conversion kit that will let you power the etrailer Electric Trailer Jack item # e55ZV with a Dewalt battery. I saw a couple of those online for offroad jacks and they're pretty cool set ups but we don't have one for trailer jacks. The only alternative I have instead of running the jack off of your trailer's battery is to install the Trailer Wiring Junction Box - 7 Terminals item # 3375601100 and connect your jack to the 12v circuit. It also comes with a cover to protect the jack from the elements when the trailer is parked. Don't tow with the cover on though lol.
