Replacement Electric Jack for 25’ Airstream Flying Cloud

Updated 08/12/2026 | Published 08/06/2026

Question:

Hi, my wife and I own a 25’ Airstream Flying Cloud. This trailer is a 2014 model, so some things are wearing out. Mainly I want to ask why the yellow/black tongue jack etrailer sells has such a low price compared to the big brands? The the ratings look pretty high. I’m thinking about the 5000 model. Thanks

Thanks for your question Greg. I think the etrailer Electric Trailer Jack # e55ZV would be an excellent replacement for your Airstream. If I had to guess, your Airstream likely came from the factory with a 3,500-lb capacity jack, so the # e55ZV provides a nice increase in lifting capacity. It mounts to the standard A-frame bolt pattern with 3-inch on-center mounting holes, so it should be a straightforward replacement.

As for the pricing, we're very selective about the product categories we enter with our etrailer-branded products. Our goal is to offer products where we see an opportunity to improve on existing designs, features, or overall value. In cases like this, we're able to provide a high-quality product with the features customers are looking for while also offering it at a lower price than many comparable options.

Let us know if you need any further assistance finding replacement parts for your Airstream.

Where do you two love taking the Airstream—state parks, RV parks, or off-grid spots?

Greg, You’re buying a name with the big name guys on anything sold now a days. This tongue jack was a gift for my father who is getting older and tired of cranking. It well exceeds our expectations and price point. His travel trailer is 7,000lbs dry and it lifts it faster than mine, that’s a big name brand and cost 2x as much. If I buy parts for my truck, trailers or hitches, it’s from e-trailer - always.

@Ryan Thanks Ryan, very helpful. Our trailer is about that much weight when we have our stuff plus boondocking water on board.

Greg, I bought that model jack and us it on a 2014 19 foot toyhauler trailer. It is far better than the one it replaced which was a big brand one. It is made better and it was easy to install. I have used it multiple times and it has been flawless.
